Can't install Bell McAfee - Your internet connection is unavailable.

I try to install the Mcafee Internet security from bell from it will not allow me to.

I go to my account, and agree to the terms and conditions, I am given a serial number and then, when I enter it on the app, I get this message: 

My internet is up and running and there are no server issues with mcafee. Any suggestions?

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community.

Can you clarify which Mac device you are using and the current firmware version installed? We recommend that you ensure your device is up to date, and also disable and remove any conflicting security software first.

Are you connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? If you are using Wi-Fi and continue to have trouble you can also try a direct Ethernet connection (if possible).

I've been trying to install this service offered by Bell for Years.  Different answers from McAfee Tech team.  One just told me it cannot be installed on any Mac, told me to call Bell and hung up on me.  So after all these years still no solution for this?  So can we install the free McAfee offered by our $160mth internet subscription or not? My Mac is macOS Monterey V12.7.6

If you are interested in McAfee Security through Bell, you will need to subscribe to McAfee Better or Best. (I have included the complete installation and activation instructions at the bottom of my reply.)

This can be added by logging into your MyBell profile and selecting the following options:

1. After logging into your MyBell account go to your internet service / internet overview.
2. Select the "Change features" option.
3. Select the "Security" option.
4. Select either the McAfee Best or Better add-on.
5. Click continue.
6. Review the terms and then click "Accept terms and submit".

FYI only! The Good Bell McAfee package is no longer available as of September 13, 2024. Customers who already had the free Good package included with their internet (prior to Sept 13, 2024), will keep the service until they decide to modify their Internet package. 

New customers signing up after Sept 14th are given the option to choose if they wish to subscribe to the Better or Best package at a monthly cost of $5/$10.

To activate McAfee Security from Bell, you must download and install it on your home computer. Please refer to the following weblink for download instructions.
