Home Hub 2000 Wi-Fi issues and unable to connect to Home Hub page

The Wi-Fi on my Home Hub 2000 has gradually deteriorated and now it is dropping connection and being difficult to connect to.  Since it is only the Wi-fi which has a problem I have made my own workaround by installing another router in wireless access mode and disabling the Wi-fi on the Home Hub.  Whilst doing this I found it almost impossible to connect to the Home Hub web page (both by Wi-fi and Ethernet).  All pages took at least a minute to load and the site just hung very often.

If these are symptoms of the Home Hub deteriorating, is there a way that I can get it either replaced or upgraded?

Hey @Phones

Thank you for your reply and for testing a direct Ethernet connection.

When you factory reset the modem all personalized settings on the hub will be erased. Your Wi-Fi network name and password may also revert to the defaults printed on the sticker on the modem, and all connected devices will lose internet access.

Hi there @Phones

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

We appreciate the troubleshooting you have done already, and the community is here to help in any way that we can.

Are you able to test a singular Ethernet connection from a computer directly to the modem to see if the issue remains the same? We also recommend a factory reset of your Home Hub 2000 to see if that helps clear the trouble you're having. For a step by step check out: How to reset my Home Hub 2000 modem to factory settingsOpens in a new tab or window

Please try that out and let the community know how everything is going.

Connecting the computer to the modem by Ethernet cable results in the same issues communicating with the Home Hub internet page.

I have turned the modem off and re-started it but still the same Wi-fi issues and connection issues to the web page.  I was reluctant to do a reset as a Bell technician once told me only to do that under their guidance.  If I do a reset, what information will be lost and need to be re-entered.
