Global 365 Travel Pass vs Roam Better priority

I am currently enrolled in Roam Better, on my upcoming trip next month, i am also keen on buying this Global 365 Pass. My question is which one will take precedence if they are both functional on my Int’t destination? Will i still get charged $16 daily even if i had the Global 365 pass?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

You will not be charged the $16.00 / day international roaming fee if you have the Global 365-day Travel Pass.

The Global 365-day Travel Pass, valid in Roam Better destinationsOpens in a new tab or window, provides you with unlimited talk and text to Canada and within your destination, plus access to your data while roaming. The pass is immediately activated once you add it to your account, and it expires 365 days later at 11:59 p.m. (ET).

The pass is a non-refundable, prepaid pass and you won't be billed any daily roaming charges when travelling.

Travel Passes will take priority over Roam Better if you activate it while already enrolled in a Roam Better daily plan.

Take care.

Good morning, @Nak. Welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks for reaching out.

There is no consecutive day limit in regards to the Global 365 Travel Pass; it will function as intended for that period of 1 year and will take precedent over Roam Better. The only caveat would be for countries (such as Somalia and Syria at the time of this post) that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship. In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Best wishes.

Good Day & Welcome.

There is no need for you to use airplane mode when travelling to anyone of the 230 destinations worldwide that the Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass can be used in. It can be used in all countries that have access to Bell's Roam Better.

The only restriction or rule so to speak would be for countries that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship.  In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.

Take care.

Thank you for the helpful response

I am planning to travel several weeks at a time. Is there a limit to the usage?  Ex. Use it for 14 days in Japan then it is blocked and regular Roam Like Home kicks in until you return to Canada. If so, what is the consecutive day limit?  How does that day limit reset?  Thank you

what if I visit  3 countries ( eligible countries   ), is this covered by the  new  365 plan Or will i be charged  one plan for each country i visit  in my travel.

Good Day.

The Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass is a one-time charge and can be used in all eligible countries. You are not charged an additional fee for visiting other eligible countries during the 365-day.

It is a prepaid, non-refundable pass that provides unlimited talk and text to Canada and within your destination, plus data usage for 365 days in countries not covered by the Roam Better daily plan. It activates immediately upon purchase and is a cost-effective way to manage roaming charges for extended travel in less common international destinations.

The only restriction or rule so to speak would be for countries that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship.  In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.

We have purchased 365 Travel Passes - do I just need to turn off airplane mode once landed to start using the service?

We currently have the Global 365-day Travel Pass and have had it since Aug/25 but it will expire before our trip to UK and Europe that starts in Aug/26. I do not see the option to renew it on the MyBell account. Is it still available ?

Good Day & Welcome

The Global 365-day Travel Pass is an exclusive, limited-time offer. You cannot extend the Global 365 Travel Pass. The Global 365 Travel Pass expires 365 days later at 11:59 p.m. (ET) after it has been activated.

Once your Global 365 Travel Pass expires, your only other option will be to add another type of Travel Pass:

  • International 14-day or International 30-day

So what is setting on cellular phone roaming on? Is it correct

Good Day & Welcome.

Yes, you must turn on data roaming to use your phone's data while traveling if you have a Bell Travel pass. Without turning on this setting, your phone may not connect to foreign networks, preventing you from using your purchased plan.

To turn on roaming, navigate to your phone's cellular/mobile network settings and toggle "Data Roaming" to on.

When travelling with Bell, the best approach is to activate Roam Better & the Global 365-day pass the day before you leave Canada.

The only restriction or rule so to speak would be for countries that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship.  In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.

Enjoy your trip.

Take care.
