I have had the Bell Fibe TV app and Internet for two weeks, after being a Rogers customer for more than 20 years. To say I am disappointed with the functionality and interface of the Bell Fibe TV app would be an understatement. I'm hoping one of you smart people can help me out here.
I'm having the same issue on three TV's: A two week old LG OLED C5 running the LG OS; a 15 year old Sony Bravia with a Roku stick, and a 5 year old Sony Bravia running the Google OS. All have the Fibe App running on them, and all are experiencing the same issue. I still have two more smart TV's to install the Bell Fibe TV app on, but I'm waiting until I can solve this annoying issue.
The issue:
1. As you can see in the first photo, which is a screen shot from my phone of the Bell Fibe app, I have chosen 22 favourite channels. These are the ONLY channels that I want to see on the TV guide when I open it on the app on any of the three TV's noted above.
2. As you can see in the second photo, I have:
Requested that the filters show me only my favourite channels, and only English channels. But the app is not saving my preferences, and I don't know how to get it to do so. I've tried both directly on the TV app and via the phone app. If I click on "reset filters" at the top right hand of this screen, it resets to the default, which is "subscribed and popular". If I leave it as you see on the screen, with "favourites" and "English" selected, once I go back to the guide, my preferences are not saved. There is no option to "save changes" which should be a no brainer option for a UI designer, but nope.
3. This is evidenced in the third photo, where you can see that TLC, which is one of my favourited channels (refer to the first image, screen cap of favourites), is not showing as a favourited channel, and all the channels that I am subscribed to are showing beneath it. I don't want to see channels 1522 and 1523 which are not in my favourites list and are showing directly beneath TLC (channel 1521). But they should not be, because they are not in my favourites list.
What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to fix this?
Thank you kind people.

Hi everyone 🙂
Just wanted to pop in and offer some clarification.
When using the Bell Fibe TV app on your Smart TV, you first need to sign in to the Fibe TV
website and set up your Favourites there. Once you have set up your Favorites online go to the Guide Filter on your TV and make sure you only select the Favourites option.
Enjoy!

Good morning @Giraffe66
Thanks for keeping in touch with us 🙂
You’re right! From the main show page, you are currently unable to add the show to your watchlist. However, once you select an episode, the My watchlist option does become available.
Try that out and let me know how it goes.

Good Day & Welcome.
A picture sometimes is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately, your pictures does not tell me how you are accessing the Guide.
I can see you have selected this channel as a Favorite. You have not selected > Subscribed
To view your Favorites on the Fibe TV Guide, once you have chosen your Favorites, you need to go to your Guide Filters and select > Subscribed, Favorites & choose the language, picture quality, etc. etc.
Depending on your device Guide Filters can be at top of the screen using Fibe TV on a computer, mobile device, tablet etc.
If you are accessing the Fibe TV app using another streaming device, E.g. Firestick, etc., it will be listed in Settings.
Take care.

Thank you for your reply. I can't figure out how to use the "quote" feature here, so I am just going to bold what you wrote, and reply underneath that.
A picture sometimes is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately, your pictures does not tell me how you are accessing the Guide.
I thought that by mentioning I have installed the app on one LG TV and two Sony TV's, and that the bottom two photos clearly show the word "Sony" at the bottom of the pictured screen, that it would be obvious that I was accessing the Bell Fibe app via a television. My bad for not explicitly stating this.
To view your Favorites on the Fibe TV Guide, once you have chosen your Favorites, you need to go to your Guide Filters and select > Subscribed, Favorites & choose the language, picture quality, etc. etc.
I just took a video showing using my LG television, showing how it is not even possible for me to select the appropriate check boxes using my LG remote (the only remote that I have ), but your software will not accept the link to the hosting site where I posted the video as it was not YouTube and I don't have time to create a YouTube account, nor do I want one.
What I was trying to show is that in the screen like my second photo, on my LG television, I cannot even select the two checkboxes that say "Subscribed and Popular" and "Favourites", as well as the checkbox for "English". I can hover over those checkboxes, but I get a red circle when I try and click on them. So forget about using this setting on my two week old, two thousand dollar LG television.
It rely defies logic to require someone to click the two checkboxes I typed in red text above in order to select favourites. To my way of thinking, selecting those two textboxes indicates that you are selecting every possible channel you are subscribed to, regardless if you have favourited it or not. But I will try doing this on another television as you suggest. And hope that the settings carry over to my LG TV and the other two smart TV's that I have yet to install the Fibe TV app on.

Yes they should simplify the process. We don't need 20 screens of channel logos. Just give me 5 screens of text with the channel number/name with a radio button for selecting like the Bell Satellite has. I know the satellite software is from Dish Network/Echostar...so easy to create favourites or lock out channels you NEVER want to see.

Thank you @BellPatricia, I appreciate the clarification re: setting this up on the web. I am currently traveling outside Canada but will give it a go when I return.
Also would like to second @Streamer's suggestion to update the Bell website with this info.

@BellPatricia, just wanted to let you know that I am back in Canada and have been able to select my favourites via the web link you sent. I had to Google to find out the the higher channels (1000+) were HD/4K, which is information that should be on the web site. I initially selected all my favourites in the lower channel band and then saw them again in the higher band, and didn't know why. Google to the rescue.
Next, I tried to add my favourite TV shows to "My Watchlist" from the same web site, by clicking on the shows I was interested in, but there was never any button or link to "Add to Watchlist". I've posted 4 screenshots, numbered 1-4, demonstrating where I attempted to do this, but no button or link ever appeared to allow me to save my choices. I did ensure that I was choosing a show on a channel that I am subscribed to. Perhaps you could provide some guidance with this as well? I'm using the most recent version of Chrome and I routinely clear my cache and dump my cookies.
1. Menu at the top of the page is to add shows to MyWatchlist.
2. I chose L&O SVU.
3. Scrolled down the page
4. Bottom of page
