How do I access TSN Premium?

I received an email saying Bell subscribers get free access to TSN Premium.  When I download the TSN app on my Apple TV, it asks me to create a Bell Media Account.  Yet the email says login with your MyBell login/password.  It doesn't seem to work for me as its not recognizing my account.  How do I access this?

Good morning @BellPatricia,

As of Monday morning, I am still experiencing the same issue. Samsung Smart Televisions (Two of them) claim: "This subscription is managed by another device. To manage your subscription, switch to the device you initially subscribed on. You can return here to watch once you have access."

Sony Smart TV and Google Chromecast do not show the message above, but TSN Premium is not linked to the account and requests me to subscribe.

Meanwhile, Iphone Mobile TSN app and TSN site via Google Chrome on Laptop provide full access to TSN Premium.

Thank you,

Thanks for confirming @Copywrestler

Just to clarify as well, are you logging in using your MyBell credentials via the TV Provider subscription button in the App, or are you using your Bell Media user name/ password?

Hi @BellPatricia,

Yes. I have done this both independantly, and while on the phone with Bell Customer Service.

We have also unlinked and re-linked my Bell Media Account to MyBell Services but that has not proven successful either.

Thank you,

Hey there @Copywrestler 🙂

We appreciate the additional information, and I have been digging into this a bit more.

Are you trying to watch shows or actually manage your subscription in the app?  By design, you can only manage your subscription on one device (the device you originally signed in with). However, you should still be able to watch content within the app.

@BellPatricia

Hi @BellPatricia,

The goal was to access TSN Premium Content on the TSN APP on Smart TVs (for example Red Zone). This is currently working on the TSN app on my Mobile Device and Online via TSN.ca. When signed in, TSN Premium Content appears in the LIVE page, and by tapping or selecting I am able to access Premium Content.

As I have worked with both Bell and TSN to try and resolve the issue, we had logged in to manage my description on the mobile app and online at TSN.ca to confirm that the account was linked the Bell Service (Fibe TV "Better" Supscription") to confirm that the Bell Media Account linked to the correct Bell Service that should have access to the TSN Premium Package.

The thing that is truly odd, is that while on Samsung Smart TVs we get the "This subscription is managed by another device." message while on Sony and Google we simply do not get access to TSN Premium and are prompted to subscribe (as other contributers have referenced happening on there Amazon Fire Stick.)

Going through process, we have erased the TSN App, and unplugged the televisions to reboot them, and reinstalled the TSN app to try and clear the cache, but this has not solved the issue either.

I'm no expert, but since mobile and browser sessions prove the backend account entitlements are fully active, isn't it possible that this is a cross-platform API mapping and token-synchronization bug between Bell’s TV provider authentication servers and connected-TV app builds?

Since this spans multiple hardware ecosystems while mobile and web work seamlessly, it is seems like this in app-side or provisioning backend bug and not user error.

Hope this proves helpful.

Called support and they said I don't have TSN even though I've been watching TSN1,2 3 and 4 on my satellite service. I give up.

Hi @Copywrestler & @xaja34

Thank you both for getting back to us.

Are you logging in to the TSN app using your MyBell credentials? If so, you will need to sign in with your Bell Media account information to gain access.

  • Go to the TSN app.
  • Select 'Sign-in through TV provider'.
  • Follow the prompts and either create a Bell Media account, or enter your current Bell Media user name/password.

Let us know if you have any further trouble after that.

@BellPatricia

It is working!

Tested on both Samsunt Smart TV and Sony Smart TV. TSN Premium content now available on both. Hope it works for @xaja34  as well.

In case it is helpful, despite the content now being accessible, in the Account Screen for the Samsung Smart TV, the prompt that reads:

"This subscription is managed by another device. To manage your subscription, switch to the device you initially subscribed on. You can return here to watch once you have access."

Is still appearing and visable after you try and log in, but if you go to the TSN Premium Section and click on the content, it is now linked and accessible.

Deleted my existing Bell media account

Signed into tsn.ca - Sign in through TV provider

Select Bell. Got message 'access linked'

You can now enjoy streaming from the folowing channels you purchased from Bell tv - TSN - TSN2

Nothing changed, I see no extra premium features. Went to Account, subsciptions

Shows subsriptions purcased thru Belll media - There are no active subsciptions.

Hi @xaja34

I’m sorry to hear that.

One thing I noticed, is that in the past when signing into a smart television and having linked my account, the TSN Plus (like red zone) would automatically appear when I was signed in underneath the standard TSN programming when you click watch or live.

This time when I successfully got my smart TV linked the content was not in the TSN content part of the app. I had to specifically click on TSN premium, and then click on the TSN premium content where it was now linked, and working.

This is different than when you were on the webpage or the TSN mobile app where when you are signed in successfully and you click watch the TSN premium content is the first thing you see on the page.

So if you are trying to log into a smart television or through a Google stick or fire stick perhaps it’s hiding in TSN premium tab, but that is just a guess and sharing something I noticed in the hopes of it may be helpful.

Good Day.

Thank you for taking the time and letting the community know that you are now able to access TSN Premium on your Samsung & Sony Smart TVs.

Take care & enjoy.

Yes I am still having issues

Hey @KAS1

We are sorry to hear that you are still having trouble, and we want to help.

In order for us to best assist, can you please clarify the exact issue that you are experiencing now?

I look forward to your reply,

@BellPatricia

I received this message by email. Have been on the phone with multiple agents trying to figure out how to access NFL Redzone. I've downloaded the TSN app to my smart TV, and I can click on Premium, but Redzone is not there. No one can seem to figure it out. The last person said someone will get back to me in 5 - 7 business days...

Hi there, I uninstalled the TSN app and re-installed. Once I complete everything it wants to charge me for tsn premium.
