Parental controls in the Fibe TV app

Hello,

I’ve stumbled upon old threads but couldn’t find anything about preventing people from downloading or renting content using the Bell Fibe TV app on the various smart TVs around the home. Does anyone have any advice?

Good Day & Welcome.

Fibe TV and Fibe TV app customers can purchase Pay-per-view content through the Fibe TV app on the Web (tv.bell.ca).

To prevent accidental purchases, you will need to set up a TV PIN. You can do this in one of two ways:

1. Login to your MyBell web account. On the top of the page, select > My profile. Select > MyBell. Scroll down & select > TV Service. Scroll down the the right side of the page. Select > TV PIN, Select > Edit. Follow the onscreen prompts to save your TV PIN.

2. To set or change the PIN number for your Bell Fibe TV on MyBell. Please follow these steps:

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to: My services - Bell.ca
  2. Log in and select your TV service from the left panel.
  3. Select > Go to TV overview and then Select > Channel line-up.
  4. Scroll down to the Change your PIN section and Select > Change PIN.
  5. Enter or change your PIN in to order programming.
  6.  Save your changes.

If you need to reset your PIN, you can do so by following the same steps as changing the PIN.

Great advice from @WelshTerrier! We just wanted to jump in and add that you can also set a PIN and manage parental controls in the Fibe TV app settings. Check out our support page for more details. Using the Fibe TV app on a TVOpens in a new tab or window
