I changed my mail filter in settings and I keep getting the same pop up message/notification while in bell.net reading my e-mails . The message is "Your rules setting has changed...". I have shut down my computer many times, emptied cache, etc. but the pop up persists. Help!!!!

My problem with the pop up message has been solved.  I called tech support a week ago and they said they would have to escalate the problem to another level.    A couple of days ago when checking my e-mail the pop up message was no long appearing. I never heard back from them explaining what the problem was, but I am just happy it's gone.  It would appear the problem must have been at their end and not something I may have done. Thanks Patricia

Thanks for all the tips. It must be a Bell problem because I don't get it on my iPhone because my service is with Rogers. I use Safari and the message pops up on my MacBook and desktop - the MacBook is an older one, but my desktop is a current MacStudio (2 years old).  The settings I changed were in Mail Filter, Settings in the e-mail screen (top right corner. t I have yet to do all your suggestions.  I am reluctant to go to far making anymore changes since I don't have that much understanding of what some of the items are you mentioned. I will eventually try a few more and may be successful, but in the meantime I will have to put up with the messages. thank you again

Good Day..

Thank you for your reply.

Based on the limited information you have provided, I can only speculate that the issue is not webmail related . You indicated that you are not experiencing this same problem on your iPhone.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Take care.

Hey there @smythma

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

We just wanted to check in to see if that pop up message is still showing in your Bell webmail. Can you share a screen shot of it with us?

Hope to hear from you soon,

@BellPatricia

Here is the message and yes it still shows up all day.  I do "X" out most times, but it happens a lot.  I should add the message flashes on & disappears fairly quickly on its own. It is very annoying.

Hope you can help with a simple solution.

thanks

Mary

Thank you for sharing @smythma

Can you please try resetting your mail filters by going into Settings and temporarily toggling all filters off? Once that’s done, log out of your webmail session completely, then log back in and re‑enable the filters.

Please let us know if the pop‑up message continues to appear after completing these steps.

@BellPatricia

DO you mean just the Mail Filter?

Hi @smythma

Yes, and any other settings that you may have changed prior to the pop up.

Hi Patricia,

I re-booted & the pop up is still there. The Mail Filter was the only area I altered.  It had an e-mail entry I didn't recognize so I deleted it.  That section is  completely blank and unfortunately I didn't write down the entry I deleted.
