Refund owing

I recently discontinued my service. Today I got my bill showing a substantial credit. How do I collect this credit? Is a cheque issued by Bell? If so, how long should I have to wait?

Thank you for your question. Briefly, if you have an active Bell account, any credit will be applied to your monthly bill going forward. If you have closed your account and have a credit balance, Bell will issue you a refund. That refund will take several weeks to process, if you have an outstanding balance which you owe, that is due and will accrue interest if not paid.

Hi, thank you.

I have no due payments to Bell, nor I will use their services. Jyst wondering, do I need to request the reimbursement or will Bell pay back themselves?

Thank you for the clarification. You do not say if you have cancelled your account. You have also not said what Bell services you have or if you have any devices with Bell which you have purchased or rented.

In order to receive a refund from Bell, you will need to cancel your account and pay any outstanding balances such as for a device you have purchased. For more fulsome details, please see this forum thread, especially the helpful replied with a green check mark, and this information from Bell about refunds.

None of this can be done through the Community Forum. We have no way to access your account and billing matters. You will need to contact Bell directly at 1-866-310-2355 and discuss your account with them if you have questions.

I had a scheduled payment for my mobility Bill but apparently it was passed due. When I spoke with a representative, they told me that I had to make an instant payment or my service would be disrupted. So I did, and this caused a double payment. Thinking the scheduled one would had been cancelled. One was via visa and the other from my savings account. In addition, I received late fees which o then argued as I had no previous notice of late payment. This all happened mid December of last year. They claimed to have issued me a refund cheque and that it would take a few weeks to receive. I called them after the new year, still awaiting my cheque, and there was an error on their end so they submitted a ticket and said I would have to wait another 20 days. Weeks later and still no cheque in the mail, even though it says processed on their end. I called and verified my address, all my info was correct. I call again and they don't want to re issue another to delay the process and said it should arrive shortly. I wait another week and still no cheque. I request an update via chat, then they call and say they want to resubmit a ticket, I told them no and to simply get to the bottom of the issue and resolve it once and for all. I got disconnected and the chat says error. Horrible customer service, they make you go through loops, yet when they said for a payment they threatens to cut your service. I gave been a bell customer for over 10 years and recently and regrettably switched my mobility service.

Good Day & Welcome.

This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account & billing information.

If you are asking for our assistance, then you will need to provide us with the specific details regarding the refund.  As a starting point, what is the refund for? Overpayment, equipment returns, cancelled order, non-return fee, security deposit, etc.

Have you been provided with a reason for the delay in issuing your refund? Please elaborate

I can only suggest that you contact Bell Customer Service at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device and request to speak to a manager.

Thank you for posting your question.

Take care.
