How do I Fast forward and Rewind stuff that I view onDemand? There doesn't even seem to be a Fast Forward button at all.

Actually there are workarounds, but I believe they shouldn't exist in paper, so you have to explore on your own.

Hi Alexs,
Thanks for your quick reply!
So, in other words, no you can't, at least no officially, although there are "workarounds", which I have to discover for myself since that can't be posted on a Bell-facilitated forum for what, fear or reprisals or fears that Bell will subsequently block said "workarounds" (as though they don't already know themselves)? Thanks and good to know that there are workarounds but until I discover said workarounds for myself I'll see if a Bell specialist will chime in.
Also, to anyone, with Rogers, when you go to pvr a hockey game and choose "record series" you can choose "all Toronto Maple Leafs" or all "Boston Bruins" or whatever, but, with Bell, it would seem, that the "series" you have the option of recording is "Toronto at Boston" or "Boston at Toronto" or wahtever (not "Boston vs. Toronto" mind you, "Boston at Toronto" or "Toronto at Boston"). Therefore, if i want to record all the Leaf games i have to set-up 62 separate series recordings and, if i wnt to record two teams, 128. Then there's the Blue Jays. I mean, what kind of user interface (sorry, "user experience") is this? Or are there "workarounds for this too? Who designed this? (And while I'm at it, there's no "Sports" genre on the online "app", just "shows", "movies", "recordings" etc. Again, Rogers has "Sports". I men, really? Again, who designed this?)
Well unless someone tells me that I'm wrong and that it's actually easy to do these things I'm going to eat the $150 cancellation fee and go back to Rogers. Better the devil you know.

The Fibe App IS very, very good. I would give Bell some time first and try it out for awhile. The DVR functionality and availability of you stuff via the app is great.
You just have to live without series set up and onDemand content.

Ahh, ok, I get it lol. I kept thinking you meant the app on the computer or phone or whatever but I see that you mean using the app on an appletv or fire stick or whatever. Ok, will check that out. Thanks!

It’s absolutely ridiculous that you can’t fast forward or rewind recorded content. When will you consider adding/updating this feature for the Bill Fibe TV app?

That's my question, too. Why is there no fast-forward and rewinding option with on-demand content? Is this just because Bell wants us to watch the ads? Then, they can implement a YouTube ads system. Can't they?

For rewind you need to ditch the dvr, use the website and mobile apps if you don't mind to have worsen picture quality or the TV app. For fast-forward you need to watch certain channels. Like CBC, CHCH, CNN, Documentary, Treehouse, YTV, everything in the French, International, Movies and Series categories plus probably more.

I guess you meant On-Demand. If you cannot do these on your recordings, try rebooting the DVR or restart fibe tv.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Many of the features available on Rogers & Bell TV are just not the same. They are two completely different TV operating systems.
This feature is not available on Bell TV for On Demand show.
Take care.

Which makes onDemand useless. I wonder how many people don't use onDemand simply because of it.

From what I understand about the missing fast forward for on demand content is the missed out ad revenue. I have a suggestion. Can we at least have the fast forward button but it stops fast forwarding at a specified interval (say 20 minutes of program for movies and long shows to 15 minutes for short content) to play the ads and then it allows you to fast forward again after the ads. That way you get your ad revenue and the customer gets to fast forward to a point in the show where they left off. It's a win/win. The customer is happy and Bell would actually get more ad revenue since we would be seeing the ads more frequently when we are fast forwarding content.

How do we submit requests suggestions pleas for features so they will be seen?
PLEASE ADD FUNCTIONALITY TO ON DEMAND STREAMS so that we can FAST FORWARD.
eg: just watched a 2 hour show previously recorded on PVR, but Bell/USA programming truncated it by inserted a 30 minute break (a news program in USA, Border Patrol here in Ontario) so the last 30 minutes of the actual show is cut off. We are not going to rewatch the first 1.5 hours slowly all over again on ON DEMAND just to see the last 30 minutes that was cut off by Bell/PVR/programming shift.
if Rogers and others can do it while still including marketing, Bell programmers should be able to figure that out.
