Unable to log into Sportsnet on my AppleTV - Sportsnet crashes and will not open

I am having issues logging into Sportsnet on my AppleTV. I have updated to the latest TVos. I have done the delete the app and install again multiple times but it does not work. I am able to load the login page on my iPhone and enter my credentials correctly but Sportsnet then crashes and I cannot open it. 
I am able to get Sportsnet to work on my phone, browser, etc.

I updated the app , and is working and will let me know if issues I was taking to sportsnet plus Guys they emailed me after talking and asked if everything was ok

Mine is still not working.  Deleted the app and downloaded again last night, it still will not open.

Go to the sportsnet plus and talk to an agent you can upload video or a picture and explain what is happening . And is your Apple TV up to date with latest software and  sportsnet I talk to them and see what they can do . Cause I’ve discovered you can vidoe and upload of what happening on the screen and upload to them when talking to there support and they replied back after the update and asked me if it was working . Try that

I miraculously got it to work today after failing time and time again for the last couple months. Here's what I did. Not saying you need to do all these things, but somewhere in there the voodoo magic worked.

1. I attempted to log into the Sportsnet + through the app on my phone. When I tried to log in using "TV provider", it asked me link/create a Sportsnet account. This is something it has never asked for before, so maybe this is some new Sportsnet thing. I had an old one, which I linked it to. I had to try twice, I think because the first time I had to reset my password.

2. Deleted and re-installed the Sportsnet app on AppleTV. Logged in using my Sportsnet account. When I did this, after I logged in, it said I didn't have an active Sportsnet+ subscription, and gave me the option to log in via TV provider. I did this... and it worked!

I'm not sure what fixed this. Maybe it was linking the Sportsnet account to the TV provider account. Maybe it's something on Sportsnet's side that is fixed. The key might be to log in with your Sportsnet account, and don't try to log in with TV provider until prompted to do so.

Holy heck. Your first method worked. I have been struggling and fighting for months now with both bell and sportsnet support who kept pointing fingers both directions and doing ABSOLUTELY nothing (Bell if you are reading this thank you for literally nothing). 

The first method you described worked for me, down to the tee. Such a dumb way that we need to authenticate, but if there is anyone else that periodically checks this thread for any updates, please do the first approach.
