HH 4000 has been installed in the closet of my condo. No issues with wifi. However I notice there are Ethernet ports in the wall outlets and I have some devices I'd like to use them with. I'm assuming there's a connection in the closet to hook the HH4000 to all the wall Ethernet ports in my condo unit. Is this something I can schedule a technician for?

If these are just wall plates with unwired jacks, you may not want to mess with this job yourself. I recommend you call in an electrician. They would have experience in pulling cable, and likely know how to wire the jacks. The wiring isn't difficult.
Here's a Wikihow which outlines what's involved. www.wikihow.com/Install-an-Ethernet-Jack-in-a-Wall
Likely the condo manager/super has an electrician on their vendor list who could do the work.
Let us know how it's going!

Hi @dswu86
Bell's service responsibility ends at the HH4K, and from what you wrote it's working without problems. So a technician won't be sent out to deal with connections to the Home Hub.
Re the ethernet jacks in your condo: I'd assume the jacks are ethernet-cabled. The cables would need to terminate somewhere. So they would all be pulled to the same location, and are ready to be plugged into an ethernet switch. Then a cable from the switch would go into an ethernet port on your HH4K.
Given that the Home Hub has been installed in the condo's closet, it's possible that the cables terminate there,. Do you see cables there? Or anywhere else?
So your first step is to investigate. Let us know what you find and we can go to the next steps.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
ZaneP

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes that is my main assumption, I cannot find any Ethernet cables or ports or switch in the closet hub (where I'd assume they terminate coming from the walls).
When the Bell technician came I remember he had to pull out the fibre cable from above and install the jack before plugging into the HH4K. He said there was no way I'd have known how to do all that with the self installation, as there wasn't a fibre cable in the closet to start.
So really my question comes to pulling out an Ethernet cable into the closet. How far in do you normally have to reach to find or grab it.. Opening is pretty small. Sounds simple but if I can't figure it out, what sort of Pro should I call to make sure it's done right?

I want to connect my computer to the ethernet port/socket in my bedroom with a ethernet cable. To do that, I'll need to connect a cable from my closet to the modem. Can you guys help me to identify which cable it is? Please see the picture below, I found 3 cable with plugs, but I think those are home phone plugs. I have extra ethernet cable to connect the main panel to the modem if you can help me to find where the jack is.

It's impossible to determine that based on the pictures.
That leaves you with 2 options:
- Plug them in one at a time and see if your ethernet jack "turns on".
- Purchase a cheap wire tester to locate the correct end and at the same time test to ensure the cable is still good. They can be had on Amazon for $15, like this one.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
The cords in the picture are definitely telephone plug ended cords. They are not ethernet cables! They are connected to a quick connect BICS block & can not be used to connect to your computer. They are for telephone use only & would normally connect to the phone outlet on the modem. The plugs were cut off to connect from the phone outlet jack on the modem to the BICs connector.
I suspect the outlets in your unit / apartment are multifunctional. It looks liked they are wired to be converted to ethernet or telephone functions or may even have two jacks on each outlet. These can be used for telephone, Internet or Fibe TV. Your computer will connect with an Cat 6 Ethernet cable from one of the auxiliary ports on the modem to the BICS connector to activate the proper jack in the location that you wish your computer to plug in to & work. When this is activated, you will plug an ethernet cable from this outlet in to your computer.
I will assume that the power cord in the picture is the cord from your modem The yellow cable is an ethernet Cat 5 cable? The other cables in the picture are for cable tv & possibly a tv splitter.
If I can offer up some advise to you:
- Do you know which jack is which & which wire cable is connected to it?
- Do have the tools to tone trace the wiring?
- Do you have the connectors & punch on tool?
- Do you the Cat 6 wire, colour connection schematic & jack connector tool ? Do you have the plugs?
- Do you know what goes where from the the jack to the connector to the cords that will connect to your modem?
If you answered NO to any one of the above, then by all means, do yourself a big favour: "Get someone with the proper tools, knowledge & materials to do it for you!
I only say this to save you a lot of time, money & frustration.
If I were you, I would contact Bell & ask for their assistance. There will be a service charge. In the long run, it might be the fastest, cheapest & best way for you to go.

Thanks for the reply.
There is nowhere to plug the ethernet jack. That's why I'm confused.

Thanks for the reply.
I opened the ethernet outlet in my bedroom and it is connected with a thick blue cable, which looks like the blue cable in the picture. and it connects to the thing in the redbox of the picture. I assume I need to connect a ethernet cable from my modem to this thing, but I can't find any port where I can plug in to.
I have no idea what the other cables are, non of them has RJ45 connector.
