Impossible to set mail password on my three other apps: Ipad - Imac - Windows

I spoke with Bell agent three days ago about lost email password recovery. Setup via agent and applied + functions well in/out on IPhone. Problem in being unable to setup on Ipad Pro, IMac, Windows computer with Bell mail. It comes back as “ Unable to verify account name or password “ on all three named.

i receive regular mail on my I phone but not on any other product ??? Only suggestion from Bell agent was to remove all my mail accounts from three accounts. I just don’t want to do that as my Imac has mail saved going back over 15 years, and don’t want to lose.

What’s so different now?

I want to say thanks for your kind reply and apologize for the delay in my response. All of my problems got compounded and lost my MYBELL password also along with my initial problems. I finally was able to resolve my problems this morning following a long service call with the Bell technician but will pass along the process.

As of the 14th of July neither Apple or Bell could fix or find a solution to the problem, I then wrote to the Ombudsman at the CRTC outlining my reason for contacting them and hoping to get support. Within 24 hours I received a positive reply from them with a copy to Bell saying they had a maximum of 20 days to fix the problem and reply back to them with the solution. I received calls from Bell management on July 22nd, 25th and 26th and this morning following a lengthy call finally got everything to function.

Still one problem unresolved and giving a problem to the great Bell technician is I am unable to change the Bell email password from the one he gave me. We tried but finally agreed to accept things as they are. And Although my IMAC settings are for IMAP versus POP we did not make the change there. Decided to go to Safari and Webmail as there was a potential for losing my long list of saved emails.

I very big thank you "SERGE" from Bell for great service, patience and dedication. There are wonderful people out there and it was nice talking with you.

Bell recently changed the minimum requirements for e-mail use.

You can find them here.

Since you mentioned you used to get your e-mail on your iMac going back 15 years, I am going to assume your MacOS is to old to meet the new software requirements.
