The Mac Filtering feature is available in the modem GUI under “Advanced tools and settings” if you use a computer and browser to access the GUI at 192.168.2.1

It is not visible in the mobile interface version of the GUI if you use a cell phone to access the modem.  If you use your cell phone,  make sure you pick the “Desk Top Version” of the GUI in the login page.

Hi @AhQ ,

I know it’s been a while since you first posted that thread. However, if you still have Bell as an ISP and have the same hub :

1. From the desktop version of the hub web interface (192.168.2.1), click on “Manage my Wi-Fi”.

2. Toggle the “Whole Home Wi-Fi” to “OFF”.

3. Go back to the main hub interface, and click on “Advanced tools and settings”.

From the second column of the pop-up window, under “Wi-Fi”, you should see “MAC filtering” in the list. You can then easily manage which device you want to allow on your hotspot by manually adding devices’ MAC addresses you want to allow, or by selecting devices that are set already.

Have a nice day,

Charlie

It's probably been disabled in firmware. If you need mac filtering and have your own router, use it instead of the HH4K.

Hi @AhQ

With Whole Home Wi-Fi OFF, can you confirm if you can see MAC filtering?

Notice: With Whole Home Wi-Fi OFF your Wi-Fi pods will lose connection and will not reconnect to the modem.

Thanks

No.  In Advanced tools and settings, only WPS in Wi-Fi is shown.  No interface for MAC filtering.Bell WiFi.PNG

I have been using PC to manage my network.  Unfortunately, MAC filtering is not shown under WiFi  in Advanced tools and settings.

I have the same issue, I need MAC filtering, because the block internet access from the Bell Wifi App does not work as expected (it also block all network connection, not only internet as it should). Also have the hub 4000

Im just wondering why the Mac Filtering is missing in my Home Hub 3000 Dashboard configuration.

I have the same issue. I’ve contacted support 3times today and they said it was a Bell decision to remove it from the 192.168 for security reasons .. They told me to use the Bell WI-FI app on our Cell but there is no selection for that feature. BELL has really dropped the ball on this IT change. They have left all us users who use this security on our networks. I’m trying to find a way to contact the main IT office to discuss the issue. If I cannot I will contact CTV and see if they can put some pressure on them to give us back this security feature. Let’s all gang up and make them accountable.

Security reason? OMG we are secured if we turn on the MAC filtering.

They have left our networks wide open except for 1 password. On the192.168 we cannot even block unwanted mac’s. How many of us are there that use this security ?

It's there on mine...

It's under Advanced tools and settings - WiFi - Mac filtering

Hi Vanadiel,

If I may ask what Hub are you using 2000, 3000 or 4000? I'm using a 3000. The support personnel I had been speaking to said it was across the  board.

Just a thought. Maybe they are rolling out the Hub software change region by region. They are sending me a new Hub 3000 so I'll see if it still has the Mac Filtering and Blocking in My Devices features. Will let you know.
