Recently, (since the outage?), any emails that I send are taking a long time to be precessed. I have Microsoft Outlook 2007 on my Windows 10 PC which would indicate there has been no updates to cause the problem. When I create and send an email, it will stay in the outbox being processed for up to a minute before going into the sent folder. I have deleted cache, repaired my PST, etc but the issue persists. On my tablet, I use Blue Mail and there is no outbox to monitor but it will also take up to a minute to show up in the sent folder. I use IMAP if that is any issue. Any suggestions as to what I could try? As I said, I have not made any software changes to the PC or tablet that might explain this. The only common thing is Bell mail. I called Bell but they said that it was not a known problem and to monitor it.
I have 2 accounts on the PC and they both exhibit the same issue. Internet speed is not an issue. Over 1 gb.

Please take a look here.
- Microsoft Outlook 2013 and higher
Outlook 2007 seems to not be officially supported anymore, which is the likely cause of your issue(s).

It has been so long since Bell dropped Outlook older than 2013, I had to think. It was several years ago. I had to upgrade one of the computers to a more recent version of Outlook when it stopped working.
With respect to your question, I have found an effective companion is "Are similar problems reported with that software?" In the case of Blue Mail, the answer is yes.

As far as I know, 2007 hasn't been supported for years, not suddenly. Blue Mail for Android is constantly updated.

I see you posted elsewhere and received similar responses. Another issue might be MS updates involving Win 10. That is a whole other rabbit hole.

If I didn't have the same issue with the Blue Mail app on Android 14, I might consider that is a MS issue. Reminder that it started recently, like in past 2 weeks. Is there somewhere on Bell where they show updates made to their servers? Notifications such as only supporting Outlook 2013 or newer should be sent to their users.

Thank you for your question. Bell never shows when they do updates to their servers. Normal maintenance is conducted on weekends and in the overnight hours, at least in my experience. I have never actually had a mail outage, other than a system outage, in a long time.
There was notification of a change to minimum operating systems a couple of years ago when the minimum e-mail client was raised to Outlook 2013. The current minimum standards can be found here. I note that Blue Mail is not listed as being supported, although it may well be.
I have also found a number of solutions involving Outlook settings, which may cause the problem you describe, here . I did a search using "outlook taking longer" and came up with a number of other causes, all related to the local machine, which you might explore.

I wasn't suggesting that Bell tell users of updates to servers. I was suggesting that Bell notify there users shen changes are made that could affect them, such as no longer supporting certain versions of MS Outlook. I would have had no idea that Bell doesn't recognize BlueMail (there is a Windows version also) until you posted this . I wouldn't have a clue of where to go on Bell to see this relevant information.
Irregardless, none of this explains why this has started to happen. It doesn't appear to have happened to others. The problem is that it is happening on a Windows platform and an Android platform and it started at the same time. An old software debug tool that I used to use, "what's changed?". Hard to tell nowadays. Nobody tells you anything.
