My Bell canada sim not working abroad

Hi Folks,
I have got Bell Canada sim and I am on vacations abroad in UK. I have been told by the customer service that prepaid sims cannot be used to receive or make calls from outside Canada? is that true. I would assume that any sim anywhere in the world is able to at least receive calls when abroad.

Hi there @hr, and welcome to the Community.

As you've been informed, pre-paid accounts are unable to make use of roaming services. This includes taking calls, as you're not on the Bell network.
