Why Are My Outgoing Calls Private Caller ID?

Whenever I place an outgoing call, my friends and anybody else see my call as being a private caller ID. I do not want this, how do I get my calls to include my number?

Solution:

You can change this from within MyBell.

Mobile steps:
1. Open the MyBell app.
2. Select the device on your plan you are changing this setting for.
3. Navigate to device settings by clicking the gear icon in top right.
4. Check "on" the setting for "Display my caller ID"

I have the same issue, display caller ID is already on though, is there another spot or reason for this?

edit…I changed a setting in my iphone, settings…phone….show caller id on all good now!

New user/customer here. Is there a setting to block/unblock call display when making a call? My contacts are telling me that when I call them, their call display shows a "Private Caller" display. Is that a setting I need to change on my phone? If so, how do I make that change?

Good Day  & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Please have a look at the following. You will will need to make this change on your device in order to display your number.

Check Caller ID Settings:

Go to your phone's settings and navigate to the ``Caller ID and spam protection'' or ``Caller ID'' section. Ensure that the Caller ID feature is enabled.

Bell doesn't transmit caller id name for cell a phone line... only your number is transmitted.
If the persons you are calling are seeing a name, it is likely coming from their contact information that was set up for your number in their address book.

Take care.

Thank you for your question. A quick Google search found this  specific assistance for the Pixel 9. There is an option deep in the operating system which you can change to show your number (only your number) on outgoing calls. If that setting is correct on your phone, the issue you describe is with the receiving phone. They do not have your name in their contacts list. There is also this setting  to check on your Bell account.
