Control soundbar volume with Bell Streamer remote

Can the Bell Streamer remote be programmed to control the volume of a soundbar? I have a Bose soundbar that I would like to control directly via IR. I've tried repairing the remote and used the option to pair manually and selected the soundbar manufacturer, but that didn't work.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum,.

The Bell Streamer can not be programmed to control the volume of your Bose sound bar.

You can control the volume of your sound bar with the Bell Streamer by connecting your sound bar directly to your TV & changing the audio output settings on your TV from the TV speaker to an external source. E.g. Optical, Bluetooth etc.

Please refer to TV setup instructions & your Bose sound bare for further connection details.

Take care.

it's unfortunate that the Bell streamer does not connect through my Samsung soundbar. Rogers connection box has the capability to connect. I had my Rogers connected to the soundbar using the HDMI (loop), and the remote controlled the soundbar power and volume. Wy doesn't Bell upgrade the system to connect and be compatible with soundbars? I have a Samsung soundbar.

That is exactly what I did but I still can't control my Sonos sound bar while watching tv. The bell streamer remote will.turn on and off my tv but it won't adjust volume
