PVR series is entire title in guide. Not useful for golf tours, PGA, LPGA, DP World, etc.

Recently moved to Bell.

The record-series function uses the entire title in the guide as the series name. Unfortunate for series such as:

PGA Tour Golf - < tournament name > , < round name >

Result is that every episode of every tournament requires manually setting the recording. Previously, the series was understood as PGA Tour Golf - and whatever followed was an episode. I set one series recording per world tour, once, and all were recorded. Very convenient. Now I have to look at the guide every week and set 4 - 12 recordings individually to get that content.

Anyone know of a way to define a series title other than the entire title in the guide?

Thank you for your question. I can't speak for Golf directly, but with episodic TV once you set the first episode by series name, every episode is taped. Golf tournaments may be considered individual, unique events, requiring a more granular search to locate and record.

In this case, the granularity required is each episode of each tournament. There is no advantage to using the series function. This is the first TV platform across the two major providers over some years to exhibit the behaviour. Unfortunate loss of usefulness for me.
