Fibe tv box lags with remote and sound gets out of sync

My fibe tv android box frequently has 2 issues.

1. sound and picture on live tv get out of sync. This gets corrected with a reboot but I have to reboot several times a week.

2. the remote lags with the receiver. Sometimes if I select a 4 digit channel number it only recognizes some of the digits. Sometimes when I press scroll up or down it will scroll all the way to the top or bottom. I already have replaced the remote so it’s not a remote issue. It’s an issue with the fibe box

Hi @waiter
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We're sorry to hear about the experience you're encountering and can certainly understand the frustration this could cause. There are a few thing you can try for the issues you're expeirencing:

1) A quick reboot of your TV receiver and modem is a great first step to help resolve many issues. A few other things that we recommend are:

    • If you are connected via Wi-Fi on your VIP7802, please test a direct Ethernet connection from the receiver to your modem to see if the issue persists.
    • Ensure the receiver is plugged directly into your TV set with no other equipment in between.
    • The receiver should be in an open space clear of obstructions or interference that could be caused by any other devices as well.
    • Do you have your Wi-FI SSID's split up through your modem GUI so that the 2.4ghz & 5ghz bands are separate? Sometimes connecting to the 2.4ghz or 5ghz directly may help with signal connection. For further information on this, we'd recommend checking out our support thread Splitting your SSID for IoT device configurationOpens in a new tab or window

2) Is the light on your remote control green or red when you click to move through the Guide? If the light flashes green then it is in the wrong mode and the remote will need to be paired again. Follow the step by step below, and let us know how everything turns out.

  •  Push APPS and "LEFT" for 3 seconds - that will factory reset the remote. Important to note: Left is the left of the silver circle (not back arrow).
  • Click the home button on the remote and scroll down to Setting -> Device -> Device setting -> remote and accessories
  • Find Ruwido BLE, click on it and then click on UNPAIR
  • Unplug and re-plug the receiver from your power outlet.
  • Then a popup message should appear on screen asking to hold "Home" and "Play/Pause" this re-pairs the remote

Looking forward to hearing back.
