so 3 calls today alone from 'VISA security'. I have no call display and this is getting annoying. we get this call regularly and also 'microsoft'. I was hoping this was going to stop after reading bell was putting in new software to stop this but I guess that was only on their mobile network as it hasn't made a difference on my landline. (still twisted pair).
any solutions to put a stop to these calls? it would be nice if bell at least offered free call display if they can't regulate their network.

How do I block Bell Spam? They keep calling me, always from different phone numbers, trying to sell me a Fibe service we've had for 15 years. They woke us up today, then called again 10 minutes later. It must be the tenth call we've had over the past few weeks. We're registered as a do not call number. Unfortunately as we have Bell it doesn't apply.
How can we stop these really annoying calls, 1apart from canceling all Bell services and moving to another Company???

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum,
There is no 100% foolproof method to block calls in today's world. Spam & fraud are on the increase. We need Government assistance, stronger laws & harsher penalties if we are going to stop this pandemic.
If you wish to opt out of Bell direct mail and telemarketing offers, please call Bell Customer Service at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355). To opt out of email and text message offers, please update your communication preferences. Login to your MyBell web account. Select > My profile. Select > MyBell. Scroll down the list on the left side of the page to > Service profiles. Go to Marketing preferences section on the right side of the page. Select > Marketing communications preferences. Select > Edit. Uncheck your services. Select > Save.

With today’s technology you’d think the cable companies would have thought of a way to screen landlines and block incoming calls that would be spam the scammers!
My landline should not even ring since I never gave my number to anyone but yet it rings an awful lot

Good Day.
All phone numbers are recycled. After 90 days of inactivity, they can be put back into the system to be reused. This timeline may vary depending upon the availability of unassigned numbers. There is very little that any telecom company can do to avoid this from occurring.
There are only so many numbers in the system. With the expansion of technology, there is no quick and easy fix.
Which Bell Home phone package do you have? If you have Bell Home phone Choice, there are a number of calling features that are included worth consideration that may alleviate some of these problems.
Calling Features - Bell Home Phone Customer Support
- Call Privacy - Bell Home phone
- Call Screen - part of the Call Privacy package
- Visual Call Waiting - Bell Home phone
- Call Control on my Bell Home phone
Other than what I suggested, your only other option is not answer the call or answer the call & advise the caller that they have dialed an incorrect number.
Thank you for posting your question.
Take care.

I received a phone call from Bell Canada today East Indian man offer me a $90 contract to change everything to on my original TV phone internet contract man talk to me and he let me know he worked for Bell Canada and was offering a new promotion, that he worked for Bell Canada And he asked me all the right questions but unfortunately, when it came down to the driver license info and then he asked me for my bank information for my bank card. This is 100% a fraud. I have phone Bell Canada and reported the problem, Sault Ste. Marie District, and let them know that there was this fraud phoning people and representing himself as a bell canada I reported it to the federal government and have emailed the phone number and explaining the type of fraud, which is identity theft Fraud and banking Fraud please warn your seniors and your disabled people like myself that it almost seems legit but however, it’s 100% a fraud and Bell Canada needs to reach out to the RCMP officers and let them know someone is representing Bell Canada which is targeting seniors and disabled people I have reported this to the federal government in 2 emails and will phone on Monday to speak with a government employee. When will u notify your clients this FRAUD IS TAKING PLACE I would hope the person I spoke to on the phone and customer service would reach out to the Algoma and Sault Ste. Marie District, letting people know about this type of fraud is circulating

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with the members of the Bell Community Forum.
What makes you think it was a representative from Bell that called you? Because he said so? Because of his call display number?
Did you provide the caller with any personal information?
Next time, please hang up! This was not Bell calling you. How about a scammer, a fraudster, a thief trying to gain access to your personal information.
Do not call them back. There is no reason for you to talk to them at all. Fraudsters call potential victims claiming to be from their service provider. They offer a promotion or deal so lucrative they cannot pass it up. The fraudsters proceed to ask for the victim’s personal information including their Social Insurance Number (SIN) and Driver’s License number, credit card, passwords, etc.
Please have a look at the following web link. I am hoping you will find something new in this document that will be of benefit to you.
Service provider impersonation scam - Bell
I would suggest that you contact Bell Customer Service at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
Take care.
