Can a Bell service rep tell me my IP Address?

Hello, I have a strange request I'm hoping someone can help me with.

Basically I'm currently away from home and since I left, my IP address has changed (power outage, probably).

The problem is that I rely on services that I self-host.

Normally I have a script that checks the ip and sends me an email if it changes, but the service I was using as a middle-man for that has stopped working, leaving me in the dark for the next week.

So essentially, I'm hoping a Bell service rep can look at my account and tell me what my home IP address is.

Thanks a lot,

-Personfacename23.

Hi @Personfacename23

Bell tech support might give you this info, if you can answer all the security questions.

Or, if you use GMail, is there anyone at home who can open it? Your login details will show the current WAN IP address. (Scroll down on the first page of emails, look for Last Account Activity on the bottom-right; click Details )

When you're back home, set up a dynamic dns service (DDNS), and you won't have this problem again.

Cheers,

ZaneP
