Hi, i have been using my Giga Hub wired via the 10gbit port to a D-Link DMS-105 switch with no issue for the past year. Although recently i started having some random disconnects every hours or so and would need help troubleshooting the issue. Here is what ive tried:
-I plugged the ethernet cable directly into my PC and had no disconnect issue (so i assume my cable is good)
-Ive swapped to a new 2.5gbit network switch (TP-Link TL-SG105-M2) but the disconnect issue remained
-Ive tried different cables from the network switch to the PC and the disconnect issue remained
-I swapped to another (but 1gbit) networkswitch TP-Link TL-SG108E and so far no disconnect issue
-I tried the new 2.5gbit switch (TP-Link TL-SG105-M2) again but this time I plugged the ethernet cable in the Giga Hub 1gbit port instead of the 10gbit port. No issue what so ever.
This makes me think that there is something going on with the Giga Hub 10gbit port when using a 2.5gbit switch that the Giga Hub doesnt like. Im running out of ideas on what to try now. The thing that confuses me is that the 10gbit port works no issue when plugged directly into my computer.
Any ideas welcomed!
-Thx

Ive logged into the Hub settings and i manually limited the speed to 2.5g instead of "auto" on the 10g port and so far its been stable.
Maybe a port speed negotiation issue between the Hub and the 2.5G? Since my PC network adapter is limited to 2.5g that is an acceptable solution for now but im still wondering why it used to work flawlessly in the past.

Sounds like a link issue. When it disconnects, what does the link show as connection speed?

I was not sure if the home hub had an option to force the link rate, but now that I see the picture it's self explanatory.
