Switched to Bell Fibe 1.5 from Rogers (finally waited 6 years to have it installed in my area) and had it installed just 2 days prior to the catastrophic outage that Rogers had. Everything is working as it should however I am experiencing some low speeds on my wifi in some areas of my house and my 4K Bell receiver jumps from 3 bars to 2 bars (signal). My house was built in the 70's (2.5 storey house) and I believe it could be the drywall or concrete or copper causing loss of signal. Top floor is somewhat adequate.
I was thinking of getting a mesh system but cant seem to figure out which one is good; or am good I good with the Bell Wifi Pods (capped at 500 mb)?
Thanks for your input

Hi there @sal. Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
We encourage the use of our Bell Wi-Fi Pods
incase you ever run into trouble, then we can always support you. However, there are certainly other pods available out there that you can use.
Check out this thread Speed up my internet
where we posted a support article about Bell Wi-Fi Pods, and how to optimize your Wi-Fi speed.
@dnachan did you ever end up making a final decision on which type of pod to use in your home?
Keep the Community posted 🙂

So I've literally cut the cable and happily returned to Bell after a 10-year absence. It's been about a month or so that I've had 3 gig fiber internet installed. For the past 5 years or so I've used an Amped 2.4 / 5.0 range extender. It works okay but yet with today's technology should be much better. I have purchased some cat 6A ethernet cable upon the advice of several techies on YouTube. The pure bare copper really makes a huge difference. Unfortunately my extender doesn't have a ethernet input cable. I don't want to rent pods and would like to purchase some sort of extender or mesh which I could plug my cat 6a ethernet cable into to facilitate boosting signal strength outside. Does anybody have any recommendations on a device I could purchase to facilitate this? I am new to the community and this is my first post and I apologize if I have written too much.

Been with Bell for about 4 years. I have the home hub 3000 and the wifi is terrible. Can I add a separate mesh router to this aged system? I don’t want to pay a fee to upgrade to the gigaport hub they now have. Thoughts?
