How to update guest wifi password

Plain

Post covid guests are returning and I am unable to access how I used to change the guest wifi password.  The new wifi mobile app version only seems to offer sharing my main password / access. The older tutorials no longer helpful as the desktop old version isn’t connecting / visible.  Can anyone advise how to now make a password update?  The “guest” wifi still is visible (Hub3000).
Old access was log onto modem to change there…

Before beginning, make sure you know and/or have your Modem Administration password on hand.

Unless it has been changed; the Modem Administration default password for the HH4000 & GH4000 is the serial number located on the sticker on the back of the modem.

If you have an HH3000 modem, the default Modem Administrator password will be “admin”.

1. Open a web browser

2. Enter into the address bar:

a) If connected to the internet, enter: “bell.ca/mymodem”

b) If you’re not connected to the internet, enter: “192.168.2.1”\

3. Click on “Manage my Wi-Fi”

4. Ensure the “Guest Wi-Fi network” is toggled to the ON position.

5. Next, input the name and password you wish your Guest network to have.

6. Click the Save button near the bottom to save any changes.

Thanks, these are the old instructions - no longer relevant due to changes

Hi there @Plain. Welcome to the Bell Community.

The steps provided by @WelshTerrier are the correct instructions for updating your Guest Wifi Password. If you are unable to make the changes and are encountering issues we would recommend factory resetting your modem. For steps on how to do this, we'd recommend checking out our article How to reset my Home Hub 3000 modem to factory settingsOpens in a new tab or window

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks.  Will try
