New Webmail - Format and Feature Issues

I am trying to get used to the new email format. I love some of the changes but am having difficulty with others.

When I click on the square box next to the subject line when I first open my email link it now automatically opens to the email. In the past, I could click on the square box for several emails(they wouldn't automatically open again) and I could move them all at once to a select file folder. Now I have to move each one individually which is very time consuming. Is there a step I am missing or is this just the new way and if it is can this be addressed in an update?

I also find the font size smaller than before. I am not sure if it is because of the font size or if the colour was changed on the font but it is now hard to differentiate between unopened emails and opened emails. Is there some way I can change the colour of the font and the size? I have looked into my email settings as well as my browser settings but I couldn't see anything.

Would love any help anyone can give! Thank You

I too have a similar problem with my large list of contacts being lost - sort of...  The qualifier is that I have a long list of email addresses but all other contact info is gone.  There are no names, phone #s, addresses, company names, etc.  I have spoken to Support on three occasions and been given ticket #s on two of those.  The first ticket number turned out to be bogus and the second has vanished into the ether.

When composing a message, the screen looses focus sometimes and my typing disappears to who-knows-where.  Also during composing, the backspace key does not do as expected.  Some other hot-keys like Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v are similarly unpredictable.  There are enough idiosyncrasies with this new version to warrant rolling back to the previous version (and maybe doing a restore from backups for some customers) and then working with a limited number of volunteered testers for the next version.

Im thinking Bell wants to get out of the email carrier business.

Its time cut completely out loyalt

This is ludicrous

Hello BELL. Is anyone listening to us?

Tell me why some times when I click on send to a new message I have made do I later discover it has not actually been sent? I found it unsent in my drafts folder. And WHY IS MY DRAFTS FOLDER NOW FULL OF MESSAGES I HAVE SENT? Previously there were no messages in my drafts folder unless I had sent them there purposely.

Why didn't bell send out trial BELL mail so that their CUSTOMERS could scrutinize the new improved format and then confirm that they needed to either quit it or go back to the drawing board and make it work for us - not aggravate everyone. Phew !!!

Why does there appear to be no way to actually talk to someone at BELL about this new BELL mail and all the issues we are discussing. I got some oblivious guy in the Philippines today who didn't know what I was talking about. I think all the people at BELL that had anything to do with this fiasco are hiding out.

Hi Dee,

FYI,

Yesterday, just seeing if there was any change, I reverified my iPhone Calendar account password and found that afterwards (and ensuring the SSL 443 port was specified) the bi-directional sync is now working.

Team,

I'd desperately appreciate some help.   I'm a very long customer of Bell here in Toronto since 1984.   I'm one of the early sympatico.ca email users.    Usually a very happy customer but since Jan 3rd it's been very disappointing.

Since Jan 3, I have called into Bell technical support at least twenty times, created many tickets and nothing has been resolved.   Today is Feb 8th.

After rolling out the new interface I have the following issues regarding the calendar:

1) no longer syncs with my iphone cal (iOS 15.3)  - no cal items from iphone going to bell.net web interface and/or vice versa

2) if I create a cal entry on the browser interface, for say 2pm, it then shows up at 2am

3) the cal view settings are from 8am to 6pm but the cal view is showing 12pm to 11am

I have tried different browsers and verified nothing has changed, so it's not a browser issue.   I have deleted and re set up my iphone cal interface for bell.net and nothing is working.

I have been bounced around between the Phillipines, Manilla and other off shore technical support call centers (the latest one not even telling me where she worked, but it wasn't Canada).    Today I was on the phone for over two hours.

Bottom line is I'd like a Canadian technical support contact to call me and help me resolve this situation.

Thank you for listening.

I have a number of issues with the new webmail format. 1) I can't find an undo button.  2) While composing an email, I can't find a way to move it to see an email that might be behind it, nor can I find away to minimize it so I can refer to other emails during composition 3) I frequently get a message stating "Please wait for email to load completely". If this message comes up - the email never loads at all unless I log out. 4) If I log out, I often get the message "You have entered invalid credentials" when I try to log back in.  5) I can no longer insert photos into emails - I have to attach them as a file.   All suggestions and solutions appreciated.  Thank you.

I get an email every month with link addresses in it. It is issued by a mail service and sent to a variety of users. For users with a sympatico.ca account the links don't work. They are blank. For other mail servers they are OK. (I don't know if this includes the Bell.ca mail service)

If someone who got the message correctly and then forwarded it to me the links work.

It is not that the link doesn't work. The link is completely missing.

Any thoughts?

Replying to self to add more info:

I have gmail auto-forward messages to sympatico account. These messages don't work. The link address is missing. But, if I go to gmail and manually forward the message thewn it works.

Summary: 1. works in gmail. 2. doesn't work in sympatico if auto-fowarded. 3. does work in sympatico if manually forwarded.

Also, the auto-forward message is displayed, in sympatico, as being a mesage sent to gmail. the manually forwarded message displays as being sent to my sympatico account. So there must be two different ways of sending forwarded messages.

Finally, in affected links are http: not https: Does bell mail server have an issue with unsecure links in some messages?

Can't insert images (local) into emails, results in "webtop error" can only attach images

Not sure why this is, but it is consistently happening.

The automatic check mark can be turned off. Go to Settings, select Mail and unselect "Display next email after delete/move".

This new Webmail is a piece of junk.
The list of the flaws is to long to post.
Please re-install the previous version that was working pretty well even though it was not so perfect.

Let me report that your latest weekend updates/changes (Feb 12th/13th) to the Calendar backend now have my All-Day calendar entries spanning 2 days and, in most cases, the wrong two days. A new all day calendar entry for, say, Monday Feb 14th shows Feb 13th to 14th in the text representation and Feb14th/15th in the display screen representation.

What is happening with your development and support teams?

A new issue that continues the aggravation. Start a reply to a received message. As you type - the BELL mail sends up to the same line of your new message " original message" sending the old message up to the new message line. Now you have to click forward to send that line back where it belongs with the previous message sent.        When will this ever end. Let's go back to the previous BELL mail and send the developers packing. All the aggravation they have caused by not checking their work and testing it.
