Unable to send email

for some reason, I can receive emails on my bell.net account from anywhere, but cannot always send emails. Not sure why, and bell has not replied to my requests for assistance on this.

Any feedback from someone who has encountered this would be appreciated.

Thanks

If the issue is one of these, how do I escalate it?

Blacklisting or Reputation Issues

  • Bell’s outgoing mail servers (or your specific account) might be on a blacklist, causing other providers to reject your emails silently.

    Outgoing Mail Server Issues
    • There could be a problem with Bell’s SMTP servers or their configuration, causing emails to be dropped after you’ve sent them.

Hi there @persuasional

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

We would like to gather a bit more information.

How many emails are you sending at once? Is it a specific email domain that is not receiving your email? Can you send a test email via Bell webmail to your own account to see if it arrives?

We hope to hear from you soon,

@BellPatricia

I am only sending one email at a time and have never abused my email. I can send to myself with this email but it won't be delivered to any other email address even though it shows as sent.
It works fine on my laptop but not desktop. It has never given me this issue before.
I have tried different browsers and turned off Bitdefender.
I know that Bell won't let me send emails if I am using a VPN, but do they have the ability to block just one computer using my regular IP?
This is stumping even the smartest AI so far.

It looks like the IP Bell gave me was the culprit with three listings in Spamhaus. I rebooted the modem, got a new one with only two red flags and my mail works again.
Sadly, I will never know when it stops working again since there is no warning provided.

I only send 3-5 emails a week.

The domains that do not seem to receive/read my emails are gmail.com; service.rbc.com; lifecentre.org.

As already shared I did try a test mail to my own account and it was received in the junk mail.

Based on comments from others did try the SPAM Blacklist site and my IP address was not included.
