Using Gryphon Router with the Hub 4000

I have recently switched from Videotron to Bell internet. I previously used my own Gryphon router to control internet with content filter and shut off times. We can no longer use the Gryphon with the Hub 4000 and I am trying to understand if and how I can institute same controls.

I have had several phone calls with customer service and no one seems to be able to answer this question .

Please advise

Should be able to attach it as a router to one of the homehub's ethernet ports and turn off WiFi on the homehub. Just have to make sure the management address for the gryphon is different than the management address for the homehub.

Any router will work, using double NAT.

Basic instructions are here: HH 3000 and own router You will be using advanced DMZ setup.

Really? I understood that external routers do not work with the home hub.

I have a UDM Pro SE hooked up to my home hub.

The WAN on your router connects to the LAN port of the home hub. You get double NAT but that should be no issue. Just have to be sure to turn of DHCP server on your router and have the administration interface on a different IP than the Bell router.

Wow! I read your reply and my head spun! I am so sorry but I understood about half of that. I am not a techie at all.

Can you explain how I turn off the DHCP server on my router and make sure I have the administration interface on a different IP than Bell router? Or point me in the direction of where I can find some instructions.

Also, I note the the UDM Pro SE is a $700 machine. Does it matter what router I use to work with Home hub?

Thanks again!
