1000 Canadian to international minutes included in plan

Hi,

I have the following option with my mobility plan: 1000 canada to international minutes.

However, in the contract, there is no list of countries stipulated.

Could you confirm if all or which countries are included with this option.

Thanks

Hi there, @Bates. Welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks for your post.

We wanted to thank you for your patience as well, as we took a deeper dive into investigating what countries are included in your plan. The countries included are as follows:

  • India,
  • China,
  • Hong Kong,
  • the United Kingdom,
  • Mexico,
  • and Bangladesh.

Please note that as suggested by the title, these minutes will only work while within Canada. So if you're travelling in the United Kingdom and need to call a UK number, that will not be covered and instead be charged as roaming (Mexico is the exception to this as your plan includes covered US and Mexico roaming).

Additionally, these minutes reset with your billing period each month. So if your billing date is the 1st each month and you go through 500 minutes one month, it'll reset to 1000 available minutes the following month on the 1st. These minutes do not roll over and stack from month to month.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Best wishes.

— Kris

Good Day.

In order to answer your question, you will need to provide more information.

Not all plans cover US & Mexico roaming charges. For example, if your plan includes 1000 Canada to international minutes it would be to the following eligible countries:

  • Australia, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, United Kingdom

Every plan is somewhat different & you need to decide on which plan best meets your specific needs & ultimate requirements.

It is also just as important for you to review the details of what is included within each plan and add-on.

Please refer to the following as an example only: Cell Phone Plans: Mobility Options| Bell Mobility | Bell Canada

Take care.

Good Day.

Thank you for posting your question. I can only surmise that you recently signed up to a new mobility plan that included 1000 Canada to International minutes. The information that  you are requesting has not been updated on bell.ca.

If the international countries are not shown in your agreement or on your MyBell mobility account, you should give Bell Mobility a call for further clarification.

Please call Bell Mobility Customer Service at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

I would like to answer your question, but I am unable to do so as the image you posted is not visible for me to view.

1000 mins of international long distance is included in my plan but I was still charged for long distance calls. How do I resolve this issue?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account & billing records. Please tell us about the extra charges that are on your bill. Can you also share some further details with us?

  1. Which Bell Mobility plan do you subscribe to?
  2. Is the 1000 Canada to international minutes a recent Add-on to your mobility plan?
  3. If so, were any of these long-distance calls made prior to the activation of 1000 Canada to international minutes being added on your mobility plan?
  4. Are any of the long-distance charges on your bill associated with calls made to locations that are not included in the 1000 Canada to internation minutes eligible countries?

The 1000 Canada to international minutes includes calls to the following eligible countries:

  • Australia, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, United Kingdom

If you were incorrectly billed long distance charges for calls to locations covered on your long-distance plan, you will need to discuss this with Bell Customer Service accounts & billing. Please call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial  *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Take care.

So details of my plan are below. as I understand it, I get 1000 free minutes on International calls to select countries from Canada. but I’m assuming that my plan doesn’t work from Mexico and then I would have to pay the daily $16 to use my phone there? is that correct?

Good Day.

@Pikey That is correct. Your plan does not include Unlimited data, calling and texting in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

You would need to change to a plan that did include Unlimited data, calling and texting in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico or add either roaming at $16.00 / day or add a 7-day Travel Pass that includes the Caribbean & Mexico, $70.00 / 7 days.
