Connected Car device question

Hello

Has anyone used this device successfully?  The app has not been updated in more than 3 years.  It constantly shows the vehicle as "driving" even when it is parked.  Also more and more often it is shown as "offline" even when it is plugged in, and there is lots of open air for GPS and good cell reception.

Tech support at Bell seems to know nothing about this device, how to troubleshoot it or support it.  There seems to be no way to update firmware or the app.

Very disappointing and expensive.    Any other experiences?

Have you just received the Plug-in Bell Connected Car device, or have you been using it for a time?

Did you confirm your vehicle is compatible? Check here. (most vehicles 1996 or newer are compatible)

In regards to the app displaying the vehicle driving when parked and/or showing offline; have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling to see if that resyncs the app and device?

I have been using it several months, and yes the vehicle is compatible.  I have tried installing and uninstalling the app, and it did not help.  It took 3 days for Bell tech support to finally call me back (I was in a meeting and could not answer).  I wish they learned to use email or text if they had additional questions, insead of trying to reach people by phone ONCE and then closing the support ticket.   Nobody at the store level or phone support seems to know anything about these devices, there is no user manual to download, the app is 4 years old with zero tech support from the developer.   Very disappointing experience

I’ve owned it for close to two years now and been working well! Just make sure it’s inserted all the way in. 

If I get an engine soon light, it tell me what the issue is on the app. Never had an issue where it shows it’s driving when it’s parked. 

Or the one you received is possibly defective. If you can’t get a hold of Bell tech support. Visit a Bell store to get it checked and possibly replaced.
