Hi there @Desperation.

Welcome to the Community.

Long distance calling is determined by your physical location in a local calling area.

As an example: if you're calling from Montreal to your mother in Toronto, even if you both have the same area code, you're in a different calling area and thus it's considered a long distance call.

You can check out our Support page on Local Calling AreasOpens in a new tab or window and how they're billed for details, too.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

You should be able to view all of you calls local & long distance when you log in to MYBell. Select > the service you wish to view, Mobility, Home phone, etc.

1. Select > Mobility > View Usage or 2. Select > Home phone > Check Usage .

Now choose whatever Detail usage you wish to view. E.g. For Mobility service, on My Mobility Usage > Select Data usage or Select > Voice, Long Distance or Text. Depending on your selection, a Daily usage screen will open with detailed usage listed on the page. You can filter dates, times, number if displayed, duration, etc. If there is a charge for the call it will be shown with details as known about the call.

If there are any charges listed there that are incorrect, you will need to speak to Bell Customer service, Billing & payments at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or #611 from any Bell mobile device

My mom has a residential phone at 5 minute from my home in St-Jean -de-Matha.  When she phone to my cell she dial a 1 and it is automatically a long distance.  I phone chicoutimi to change the location of the regional code so it is attached to our location, and the lady said it wont be along distance because the systeme recognize the location.  But is is not true.  What should we do beside changing all cell phone number?  Can we register a residential phone to our account so its recognized that it is local?  Does she has to put a tower number in front of our phone number ?
