For full details on suspending your services and any applicable fees check out Temporary suspensions
.
You can choose to suspend each of your TV, Internet and Home phone services between one to six months. Simply visit MyBell
to place, modify or cancel the request.
Let’s take a look at what to expect:
Home phone:
You will not be able to make or receive calls. Callers will hear that the number is out of service.
Your long distance plan will also be deactivated. If the long distance plan you currently subscribe to is no longer available when you resume your service, you will need to subscribe to a new plan.
You can still use your calling card to make calls but the basic long distance rates will apply.
Internet:
You will no longer be able to access the Internet with your Bell Internet connection. Fibe TV will also be suspended and your personal web space will be deactivated.
You can still access your Bell email
from another Internet connection.
Monthly rental charges will still apply as per the terms of service.
Fibe, Satellite and the Fibe TV app:
You will not have access to your TV programming and scheduled recordings will not be recorded.
Monthly rental and premium sports channel (NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.) charges will still apply as per the terms of service.
Mobility:
You will not be able to make or receive calls (except 9-1-1 calls), or send or receive text messages. You will also not be able to use mobile services on linked devices, such as NumberShare wearable devices.
Important tip: Do you have a security alarm service at home? Suspending your Internet or Home phone service could impact your alarm system. Make sure to check with your alarm company before suspending any services.
