Just wondering if Bell is going to match Rogers new subsidized internet program for $9.99
"$9.99/month internet is now available through Rogers to individuals on ODSP (Ontario disability support program), OW (Ontario works), or GIS (Guaranteed income supplement).

Good day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
@Salem1 You are absolutely correct, most front-line staff at Bell would have little to no knowledge about this program. This statement would also hold true if you contacted any other Internet suppliers.
@FoxmeadLummpe Eligible households must receive a letter from the Government of Canada. This letter will contain an access code that they will need in order to sign up on the Connecting Families Registration Portal.
The Connecting Families Initiative (CFI) is a Government of Canada program that provides more affordable Internet services to eligible Canadians.
To be eligible for the CFI program, you must have received a letter from the Government of Canada or Service Canada inviting you to participate in this initiative. Eligible Canadians qualify for the program if they meet the following criteria:
- Families that receive the maximum amount of Canada Child Benefit
- Seniors that are receiving the maximum amount of the Guaranteed Income Supplement; single with an annual income under the Old Age Security (OAS) program of less than $4,000; or a couple with a combined annual income under the OAS program of less than $8,000
Connecting Families Initiative
If you received a code & it is not working, for support, please contact YWCA at 1 833 206 0599
For general questions, please call ISED at 1 800 328 6189
Take care.
