Bell Fibe App Not Available on Samsung TVs

Hi folks,

We recently purchased this fancy, new, smart Samsung TV. For the first 6 months, I would click on the Bell Fibe app on the home screen, and I could then use my phone as a remote, or my actual Samsung remote. Now, from the home page on Samsung, Bell Fibe has completely disappeared. It is literally not visible or available as an option when I search it.  I can only see Samsung TV as an option.  I have to bypass the Samsung home screen (exit out) and only use my Bell fibe remote now. It is so frustrating.  Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks ✌

UPDATE

The Bell Fibe TV app is now available on select Samsung Smart TVs.  For more information including compatible models, check out Support for the Fibe TV app on Samsung TVOpens in a new tab or window.

Unless your RCA is using Android or Amazon Fire as it's operating system, you can't

The Fibe TV app has versions for Android TV, Amazon Fire and Apple TV.  You can also cast or Airplay from your phone to the Tv if your TV supports it. Other than that, you need a Fibe TV box.

From the website - "

Fibe TV gives you the flexibility to watch TV on more devices than any other provider. Enjoy amazing content on any of your mobile devices, computer or big screen with Bell Streamer†, Google ChromecastTM†, Android TV†, Amazon Fire TV†, Apple TV† or AirPlay†.2

A Fibe Internet subscription is required."

Good Day & Welcome.

The Bell Fibe TV app has been recently added to the lineup of apps that are available on the Samsung store. Go to Apps on your Smart TV & search for: "Bell Fibe TV". Download & install.

There are limited changes that can be altered within the app. Additional Bell Fibe TV app settings can be adjusted using a web browser & logging in to your: My account - Settings - Fibe TV

Take care.

Are you asking about the bell fibe app via your smart TV or via the Bell streamer????

I tried to get fibe tv app on 2 seperate Samsung TVs to no avail.....if i remeber correctly, all samsung tvs (the newer ones anyways) DO NOT use android OS.....instead they use Tizen OS which DOES NOT have access to the Android apps ecosystem which means you CANT get the fibe tv app natively on your samsung tv.

The only way to get it natively on your tv is if you are using a TV with Android tv insatlled as the operating system....again, no samsung tv has this as far as i know.

Are you talking about the icon on your samsung tv that is a shortcut to your bell streamer????? which basically is just a quick way to change the input source like going from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2?

Correct. I have the identical problem. No Bell Fibe App available to download from a Samsung TV. I don’t know if this is a Samsung issue or a Bell issue. I also have a problem using airplay on Samsung I( used to be able to but not anymore), and to top it off, the bell receiver must be conflicting with the Samsung Wi-Fi card as it erratically connects / disconnects from the wifi - very frustrating! If you connect a Apple TV all issues are solved. Why? It’s not normal or “smart tv”

Hi!  Sorry to bother you - trying to get help with Samsung support and it's just not working 😖 ... where did you go/how did you set up the Bell Fibe App??

We do currently have an Amazon Fire Stick hooked up to the TV - so we can get our Bell that way.  We're setting up the other TV in the spare room and had hoped (since there were so many other apps available) we'd be able to download the Bell Fibe App directly on the TV so we could just use the Fire Stick in the spare room, thus saving having to buy another one...

Not great for those that are satellite tv customers. Not sure that was considered when making the decision to remove on demand or pay per view options from satellite receivers. How is this fair to expect us to now buy something to watch Fibe tv?

You can add the Fibe TV app to a Firestick, if you have Bell Internet to take advantage of on demand services.

The direction most providers seem to be moving is that customers do their own research before a sale and know what they want at the point of sale. There is also an expectation of some technical competence. A friend, seeking help with a phone technical issue, was asked by their provider support (not Bell) if there were any young people in the house who might help. They were not impressed.
