I am trying to pair our Bell Slim TV Remote with our new TCL QM7 tv I just bought, but the volume is INVERTED. Volume UP decreases volume, and volume DOWN increases volume. TV receiver is Fibe VIP2502. TCL TV is 55" QM7 55QM751G.
I'm using the following Bell codes to pair it with the QM7:
https://support.bell.ca/_web/guides/TV/UserGuide/Receiver/1232/List-of-codes-Slim-remote.pdf (0340, 0434,0520, 0840)
- Code 0520 works, guide menus and channel buttons work correctly, just the volume is INVERTED.
I tried a bunch of other codes to no avail:
- 2414, 2434, 3183 from (https://support.bell.ca/_web/guides/TV/UserGuide/Receiver/1232/Fibe-TV-Nova-Remote-Guide.pdf)
- 0006 (https://support.bell.ca/tv/receivers/how_to_program_my_bell_tv_remote_control)
I've also submitted the same question to TCL on their website, but got no response yet.
Anyone else encounter this issue and have a solution?
Much appreciated..
Thanks

Good Day.
Have you tried to reset your remote control to the factory defaults? To reset your remote control to factory settings:
- On your remote, press and hold the Options button for 3 seconds, until the green light flashes twice.
- Within 10 seconds, enter 0000.
- Press Select.
- The green light will blink twice to confirm the commands have been successfully cleared.
Now that the remote has been reset to factory settings, the next steps will guide you through programming the remote using the appropriate code.
Program the Slim remote using a universal code
- Press and hold the OPTIONS button for 3 seconds until the TV light flashes twice.
- Enter 0001 universal code using your remote. You must enter the code within 10 seconds.
- Press and hold the POWER button. The TV light will slowly flash as it cycles through all the TV manufacturer codes until the TV turns off.
- Once your TV turns off, release the POWER button and press SELECT. The TV light will flash twice to confirm it has been successfully programmed.
- Test the TV commands (volume, power).
If you were unable to locate your TV brand, you can look up your code manually or choose an automatic code search.

Good Day.
The codes you mentioned in your post are the only remote codes that I am aware of that are compatible with the VIP2502. It is best you contact TCL support to confirm the appropriate code. I reconfirmed on their support site that there was no remote code listing shown for Bell Fibe TV & this model of TCL TV.
Take care.

Thanks for your response. I got an answer from TCL support this afternoon, and they just directed me back to Bell support lol. They didn't really have much of an answer either unfortunately.

Hi, old post but just got my TCL 55QM6K and like you, using the 0520 code is working except the inverted volume. Did you find another fully working code? How did you solve the problem?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum
This is a newer model TV. The remote codes as listed and provided to Bell by TCL are likely not fully compatible with your model of TCL TV and your Fibe TV 2502 receiver. We are only aware of four TCL programmable remote codes: 0340, 0434, 0520, 0840.
I reconfirmed on their support site that there was no remote code listing shown for Bell Fibe TV & this model of TCL TV. Please contact TCL support at: 1-877-300-8837 to confirm compatibility & the appropriate remote code. I have included their email support website: https://help.tcl.com/app/ask
Take care.
