Can you record longer than 30 minutes after end?

I lost end of Blue jays opener and last of home run derby.

Hopefully Bell takes this as suggestion.  Rogers was 3 hours

This is not acceptable. Sports is very important to me. I record them and watch them later, 30 minutes extension is Mickey Mouse. Bell is supposed to be modern, Cogeco can record 1 or 1 1/2 or 2 hrs after the scheduled time. Do I have to revert back to Cogeco to see recorded shows that extended beyond scheduled time?  Come on Bell get with it.

I have just written bell and I agree with and feel your frustration.  Bell must disregard these complaints and may not realize our frustration and eventually departure from the service.  All unavoidable if they actually believed in loyalty and client service.

This is a complaint/feedback/request - not a question.  I have just had an upgrade to new equipment with the small PVR which I gather has cloud storage. The maximum that I can record past the scheduled end of a program is 30 minutes, which means the last baseball game I watched cut off in the 9th inning. Since games often run into overtime 30 minutes isn’t long enough. I realize I can record the shows that follow the game but this is a hassle. I know space is limited but games are deleted right after watching. An increase to 1 hour after the scheduled end of a game would be very nice to have!  I used to record 3 hours after in case of rain delays but I realize this is not realistic for cloud storage.

That was not a helpful reply. I missed recording the amazing end of the Bills / Ravens game last night because the recording didn’t last long enough even with the maximum 30 minute extension. That was not expected so I didn’t record the following program. Every other supplier has the option of longer extensions - why doesn’t Bell Fibe TV? what we want to know is: Does Bell acknowledge this very serious flaw in the system and are they working to fix it?

Me too. I just signed on for 24 months but Bell is not meeting my expectations by restricting the ability to extend recordings. There must be a thousands of sports fans annoyed by this, so why hasn’t Bell fixed it?

Good Day.

Thank you for your feedback. Bell is probably limiting storage capacity & the extended recording time to control costs. How much extended recording time / storage would be enough?

You can only set your to: "Stop recording" Fibe TV Cloud PVR at the scheduled time to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.

You can also choose to record the program that is coming on afterwards. This is another option that will allow you to extend the time further.

In the real world, someone ultimately will have to pay for this....... it is not unlimited & it can be costly.

Just my thoughts.....

Take care.

Thanks for your comments. But logically, if it costs Bell when I extend the recording time, then it must also cost Bell if I record the following program. In any event, that is a very makeshift way of getting around Bell’s 30 minute limit and doesn’t help if you want a “series record”. Other suppliers provide recording for 90 minutes or even 3 hours after the scheduled end of the program. They offer it because they know their customers want it (especially the sports fans) so why doesn’t Bell offer it. Currently Bell is lagging behind the competition.
I’m new to Bell Fibe, previously with Telus, and I can tell you the Telus offering is far superior. (Unfortunately I can’t get Telus at my new address.)

What a sad and surrendering response.  Bell can be whoever they choose too.  I prefer challenging the service provider to improve their service and ultimately benefit me.

I too would like Bell to give recording options of 1,2,3 hours. For live sports events, Roger's Ignite automatically records to the end  so that viewers never miss the last minutes of a playoff game tied at 2-2.  That's the real solution. Forcing us Bell Fibe viewers to remember to record the next shows .

You misunderstood my reply. Yes, I would like Bell to fix this, but people have been complaining about this issue on this forum since at least 2023. Numerous people have challenged Bell to fix the measly 30 minute limit and Bell has never given any indication they intend to do so. The obvious conclusions are: Bell a) doesn’t care about improving the service to satisfy its customers and b) doesn’t care that they are way behind their competitors.

I can only extend recording time to 30 minutes. Can this be increased?

Good Day & Welcome.

You can only set your to: "Stop recording" on a Fibe TV 4K HDR Cloud PVR at the scheduled time to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.

You can set your to: "Stop recording" on a Bell TV 4K PVR at the scheduled time to any one of the following preset software stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min., 1hr, 2hr, & 3hr. after. It has an internal hard drive.

Take care

Still no love from Bell, they know to take my money. I gave them a year to fix it and no one from Bell can give us an answer. I be looking for others options. This 2025 you dont take away options that existed before. You upgrade.

Bell get your act tougher.
