Just wondering if this is an option because it seems as 4k channels only work with Bell Receiver
Chromecast 4k displays messages that Bell Receiver is required
I was wondering if I was to buy Bell Streamer would it be same as Chromecast or would 4K channels start working as Bell Streamer is Bell receiver 🙂

Please see my earlier reply: "Viewing on the Fibe TV app is available in up to HD"
The Bell Streamer has limitations & that is just one of them. If you are looking for 4K on Fibe TV then, you require the Fibe TV Box.
The Fibe TV App does not include 4K Channels as part of it's subscription. 4K Channels only work on a 4K box. Here is a web link to the channels you can watch. Please select > View All Channels (in the middle of the page) & Bell Streamer > Learn more. (further down the page.)

You can watch 4K with the Bell Streamer. 4K picture quality requires a 4K TV and 4K programming from a separate subscription to Netflix, Prime Video or other streaming services in order to view content in 4K.
Fibe TV app is available with select compatible devices. Requires Mobile network or Wi-Fi connection. More channels/content are available over Wi-Fi at your home with a Fibe Internet connection vs. outside your home. Content viewed over Wi-Fi at home will count towards your monthly Internet data usage (if applicable).Mobile data charges may apply. Channels/content subject to change without notice and blackout periods may apply.
Viewing live content with Bell Streamer, Google Chromecast, Apple TV (4th gen. or 4K box), AirPlay, Amazon Fire TV (basic edition or higher) or Android TV (Google-certified) is only available within your home and an unlimited Bell Internet connection is required.
Viewing on the Fibe TV app is available in up to HD and display quality of Fibe TV App programming may vary with your configuration, server, applicable network traffic and management or other factors. A separate subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Crave services is required to view content.
Viewing content on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube will count towards your monthly Internet data usage.

Actually the streamer is different from the apps. It indeed has a 4k quality option, however only 4k ppv is available, while the app on Apple box blocks 4k items completely. I don't have a third-party android box but I guess it's the same as A TV.

Good Morning @AlexS, he asked these two questions: 1. “I am asking can I watch bell channels in 4K with bell streamer.” 2. “I am asking can I watch bell channels in 4K with bell streamer .. you know the sports channels that can not play on Chromecast.”
Unless I am missing the point & something has recently changed, he can’t.
Let me know. Thanks. Greatly appreciated.

For now, indeed. But Bell might start to offer 4K channels on Streamer in the future, cause I have already seen the process of adding 4K ppv to that device. There might be negotiations going on between the companies. I remember when Restart just rolled out on Streamer, lots of channels supported this feature didn’t even allow pause, but now all of them work just like on-demand. However, those official texts don’t mention this publicly at all, even if all the apps also have been offering this feature for quite some time. I can only recall a BConnected email from last March promoted this hidden feature.
