I get this when my remote is not set up to control my tv power and sound.

The tv box goes off from the remote but the tv is still on.

If it worked before, then a few possibilities.

Batteries, the remote is failing, or became unpaired.

I only know the 7802 android box. This link will give directions for other remotes too

Good Day.

As a starting point. please check your batteries. If this does not solve your problem:

  1. Have you verified that you do not have any loose connections between your receiver & TV?
  2. Have you tried changing your HDMI cable?
  3. Are you connecting to a Smart TV? Have you tried to use the TV setup manager to configure your settings?
  4. Have you confirmed that you are connected to the correct HDMI input on your TV?
  5.  Have you tried to reprogram your remote control? Please try reprogramming your VIP7802 remote control to match your TV.

Please follow the steps included in the website tutorial I have provide.

Programming, fixing or replacing your Bell Fibe TV remote

I have also included this weblink that may be of assistance to you.
