Filtered FibeTV Guide by Genres

How do I undo this? I was goofing around with the guide controls on our new fibe tv and clicked one of the genres to filter… but now I can’t see all genres again. I have been through all the channels to personalize my guide and have switched every guide option I can think of but it still won’t let me choose all genres or see my custom guide. Just one genre at a time which is not filtered beyond that.

Depending on your remote, the settings & setup are similar. I have included instructions that will guide you to the correct remote web page. From here, you will need to choose your type of remote. (I selected the Fibe TV Voice remote as a starting point. This is the newest remote for Fibe TV.)

Go to Fibe TV Overview on the web: Bell Fibe TV Customer Service and Support

From this screen on the top of the page: > Select Receivers & remotes: Fibe TV Voice Remote (bell.ca)

Choose the Default remote or Select > Change

Depending on your remote you will have options for watching Fibe TV. For example: Watching shows with your Fibe TV Voice Remote : Finding programs by genre (bell.ca)

Scroll down the list & Select > Finding programs by Genre

  1. Press the Home button on your Fibe TV Voice Remote and select Settings.
  2. Select Device, then Menu and guide.
  3. Scroll to and select Genres.
  4. Scroll to and select a genre (e.g. Entertainment).
  5. Scroll to and select a channel or program. The channel or program is displayed

Right. I did this. This is how I am now stuck with only one genre in my guide at a time. I want all genres (or actually no genres, with my personalized guide showing) but I can’t make it stop choosing genres. How do I get my personalized guide back on?

Yes. This is still unanswered.

I just cannot get it back to default "all genres" view. Were you able to fix it? Without having to factory reset

I had the same issue and figured it out.

Here is how to see all your channels and not a specific genre when you hit your guide button.

1. Put on any channel

2. Hit your right arrow menu button

3. Click on favorite lists

4. Click all channels

This will return your guide.

Thank you for finally solving this issue!

Add one point to what @Guide said:
1. Put on any channel

1.5 Wait until all you see is the content, no overlays

2. Click right arrow (on the 4 way round section of the remote)

3. click on favorite lists

5. click all channels

If you try to hit the > (right arrow) while an overlay is visible, it doesn't pop the right arrow menu that it would if you have no overlay visible when you press > (right arrow). It took me a few minutes to figure out that.

It's kind of daft that I can go into Settings -> guide -> genre and there is no 'no genre' option.... you have to go somewhere entirely different to remove a genre choice made there.... if you enable something somewhere in a UI, you should also be able to undo it there. Poor design.
