When I tried to use the Bell app on my Firestick this morning, I get a 1008a error code. My set top receivers are working fine, so it appears to be an issue with the app. I’ve tried rebooting, but That didn’t work. Other apps on the Firestick work fine. Wondering if this is widespread or something with my system. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Good Day.
Error code 1008A on a Fire Stick typically indicates a problem with the Wi-Fi connection. To fix this, you can try restarting your Firestick, clearing the app's cache and data, or updating your Firestick's software.
Which model of Fire TV Stick do you have? How is your Firestick connected? Wireless or wired with an ethernet cable? Are you able to download the Fibe TV app on any other device?
Are you logged in to your Amazon account? If so, go to Manage Content and Devices and make sure your Region is set to Canada. Verify your Wi-Fi login & password. Have you restarted your modem?
If this does not resolve your issue, I would recommend that you reboot your Fire Stick device. Then upon start-up and before launching any other app, follow the steps below to download the Bell Fibe TV app,
- Connect the Amazon Fire TV stick to the HDMI port on the TV
- Select Apps on the home page
- Scroll down and select Categories
- Select Entertainment
- Search and select Bell Fibe TV app
Let us know how everything goes.
Take care.
