Finally getting Fiber to our home and have an install on Wed. When ordering TV portion I asked about the 4k pvr as an option and was told no problem. I still have fiber boxes both wireless and wired from our old home and want to continue to use them. Im looking at my info for the install and I'm seeing charges for cloud which makes me think they are installing android streamers. Is the 4k pvr still an option. News says they are getting rid of them in new year.

Good Day.
Thank you for providing this additional information. The Fibe TV Cloud PVR VIP7802 is Bell's most compact receiver yet, supports 4K HDR.
The Voice remote is powered by Google Assistant and includes a microphone. It uses Cloud based storage for recordings.
The Fibe TV Cloud PVR VIP7802 is not compatible with previous models of Bell set top boxes such as the: VIP5662w, 2622, 2502, 2202.

The Fibe TV Cloud PVR VIP7802 is compatible with the Bell Streamer.
You will also be able to access Fibe TV using the Fibe TV app.

Good Day & Welcome
Thank you for posting your question.
Without knowing exactly what equipment you currently have and what you ordered from Bell, it is next to impossible for me to answer your question.
When you placed your order, did your request a new Fibe TV Cloud PVR & receivers? The equipment that you do have, did you previously purchase these receivers or are they rental receivers belonging to Bell that need to be returned?
If you are unsure of your Fibe TV equipment, the installation & associated charges, I would suggest that you call Bell Customer Service Fibe TV to review your move order details before the scheduled installation next Wednesday. Please call Bell at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355)
Bell recently announced to the media several new initiatives to reach more customers, enhance resiliency and deliver the easy experience customers want.
This information is normally not shared by Bell nor posted on the community forum. We are not privy to the timing and details that were announced in this release. I can only offer up to you the following highlights from this Bell news release:
- Introduction of tiered wireless plans with rates differing based on class of service, content, and handset financing, available now across Canada.
- Launch of Internet services in British Columbia and Alberta in the coming weeks.
- Introduction of Unbreakable Internet in Spring 2026, a unique product proposition that ensures ultra resilient Internet that keeps working during power outages through a combination of wireless backups enabled by Bell Mobility 5G smartphones and the fibre network's passive optical technology.
- Planned elimination of the TV set-top box, as Bell delivers a cutting-edge, full-service experience through apps on devices customers already own.
- Expansion of Bell Streaming bundles in select markets to include Crave with TSN/RDS, alongside existing partnerships with Netflix and Disney+, and by integrating high-value third party services for AI, gaming, and security.
Take care.
