Installing second dish for stronger signal

I am now running a dish operating near the house with only 50% signal due to trees.

It is running on a DPP TWIN  one   6131  receiver

This second dish is wired also to a 6131.

I have acquired a second dish and hardware ground mounted in cement at the lake shorline.I have aquired 90+ signal on 91 and 82 using one lnb legacy D type.  I think I just realized why the satt is confused.I am preparing a two run rg6 back to the house so wired a second sw21 to 82 lnb but its just hanging free air until the ditch is dug. Get it ?

I will remove RG6 wire  from SW1 and check switch again. The issue is only 4 transponders are have signal on 82 HD.

Hey there @Gary, welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks for your post 🙂

We wanted to check in with you to see how the troubleshooting is going. Have you had a chance to remove the RG6 wire and test again?

Keep the Community posted.

Last check switch with one LNB LEGACY TO SW21 after replacing the lnb and sw21and short cable tightened connections, on CHECK SWITCH MENU only verified  91ok xx 82 did not show even thou I have signal strength 75 and a few HD channels on guide.

I ran another test yesterday without SW21 same result.

I also did a CHECK SW with coax in disconnected as suggested by others to clear receiver of weird thoughts.

The transponder only has a 82 signal on 4 ,5,6

91 is ok  transponder wise.

Finer adjustments seem necessary still.

My tv package has HD sports and HGTV etc but not on guide due to this weird alignment problem.

I ordered a DPP PLUS LNB since the legacy lnb seem unreliable after a few replacements.

I havent given up yet 🙂  Keep in touch please & thank you.

I received my 6500 HD but am not sure if I need to phone to activate or or can  do it thru the satt signal ?

Update Today,

DPP TWIN arrived late but jammed it in the arm  after dinner no mosquitoes.

Two coax leads out to 1631 both siamese output  single coax male left unused open.

Only one lead used for now.

Check switch ok for twin.

Signal good on both satts, transponders responding good.

But still an issuse at loading guide  she jumps to tr 16 everytime sits on 1 of 5 for hours never attains the finish line.

If all fails I might try the 6500.

Am  i getting shutout because I can not complete the setup even thou I have good signals on both satts

QUESTION @BellPatricia

Is there a restriction on my running two satt dishes at same location?

I need to keep one dish running for emergency alerts while we setup the second dish. The existing previous install was poor due to foliage obstruction, and will come down after new dish install achieves success.  The last step of the setup is failing or stalled counting only 1 of 5 to finish to guide.

I can try to remove coax from dish1 to see if it is blocking my new dish install.

Thank you for your help

Checkcswitch verified DDP TWiN

@BellPatriciaStill having trouble

My APP Satt Finders have lists of satellites.

I assume we are pointing to NIMIQ 6

GOOGLE seems confused and mentions NIMIQ 4

Good News @BellPatricia BellPatricia

Things changed today as I discovered a new App called Satellite Pointer for Android at the Play Store

Sure helps to actually see the satts in the sky.

Hopefully I should have this solved soon on my own free time.

Trees blocked me again.

Relocating base mount for better best line of sight weather permitting.

Back at you soon
