My Bell Streamer won't connect to my TV

I have my Streamer plugged into HDMI 2, and my TV displays a message reading "invalid format". I've tried each of the HDMI ports, and I know they work because I have my PS5 connected too.

I have an older model LG TV so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I searched and couldn't see anyone else having had the same problem.

Good Day.

I can only thing of a couple of plausible causes:

  • Check the power source for the Bell Streamer. Have you plugged in the USB cable & adapter?
  • HDMI cable. Have you tried to upgrade & replace this cable?
  • Vefify that your TV is set up the correct HDMI port.
  • Can you plug your streamer in to HDMI port 1?
  • Can you test your Bell Streamer on a different TV?

Setting up the Bell Streamer

  1. Power on your TV.
  2. Plug in the Bell Streamer to an electrical outlet using the USB cable and power adapter that are provided. Using your TV USB port may not provide sufficient power to the Streamer.
  3. Make sure TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
  4. Connect the Bell Streamer to your TV with the included HDMI cable.
  5. Make sure your Wi-Fi router is on.
  6. Follow on-screen setup instructions.

If you’re not able to complete the setup steps, please call Bell Fibe TV Tech Support at: 1 866 797-8686

Take care.
