Restricting Channel Choices Made Using the Remote (Re: My elderly Mom with dementia)

Hi!

I'm my Mom's power of attorney & live 1.5 hrs away.   I am officially set up as her POA & can now access her Bell account using My Bell.

My mom is elderly & has dementia.   I've noticed that with Fibe, it is easy to get access to channels not part of her package simply by using the remote.   She has already added a channel by doing so which I caught & was able to have removed.    She also has a lady that she has befriended, whose name was somehow added to my mom's Bell account previously as a contact person, who has since been removed with note added not to re-add her. So I am suspecting this person may be adding additional channels to my mom's account.

Between the two issues, is there any way that channels not part of my Mom's package be blocked from clicking on them with the remote & adding them?   Bell Billing Support chat who helped me remove the one channel added, directed me to Parental Control on the Fibe App but that was not useful at all.  I am looking to block access to actual channels rather than various rated ones or types (nudity, violence etc.).

Has anyone done this?

These steps should pretty well lock down everthing that your mother might select by accident. Hopefully this will help you out:

1 Go to your Menu button on your remote & go to Parental Controls > Parental locking > Select Channels > Change > Select the Channels you wish to lock > Select Save > Exit

2.Go to your Menu button on your remote & go to Parental Controls > Rental Locking > Enter  4-digit PIN > Select Lock renting > Select Save > Exit

3.Go to your Menu button on your remote & go to Menu and guide > Customize guide > Select to add or remove channels from the Guide > Select Channels > Select Save > Exit

You can set up a selection of channels allowed to show up in the guide via settings. There’s no password protection but it should be able to test whether the suspected charges were related to dementia.
