VIP7802 LED status?

New user to Bell - is there any detailed documentation for the new VIP7802 PVR?  More specifically, I would like to know what the colour of the LED means - I assume green is good connection, amber is average and red is a problem.  Also wondering why they sometimes go into a slow blink cycle when the 7802 is in standby?

Hi there @Nikki, thank you for your post.
The LED light should always stay green. a Yellow or Red light could indicate a potential Wi-Fi issue.
The slow blinking blue light indicates standby mode.

Hi BellAntgio, when in standby, our 7802 receivers always remain green, except for the receiver in the basement HT that is yellow (-72dbm).  They periodically slow blink while in standby, but generally they are solid - for example, our receiver in the bedroom started blinking this morning, but all other receivers are currently solid ... and all are currently in standby mode.

Is there a way to show special light when it’s recording? Miss this feature from the old 5662 box.

T. Reciever when I turn on and off is always white not green but tv internet is working fine  I thought it is supposed to be green. It’s white on two tv. And tje third tv the light is green

the led light on my 7802 stays on whether tv is on or off.

is this normal

VIP7802 LED question? Long time Bell subscriber but a new VIP7802 Fibe TV Set Top Box user. Is there any detailed documentation for the new VIP7802 as the Arris pamphlet that comes with the device doesn't explain the operation of the multi-function button and nothing of any use can be found through Bell's on-line technical support? More specifically, I would like to know when the VIP7802 is in standby mode the slow blinking LED can this LED be turned off using the multi-function button? The reason for this is during sleepy time our bedroom VIP7802 LED slowly blinks on then dims again somewhat like a lighthouse beacon lighting up the bedroom since this LED is surprisingly very bright lighting up our wall and ceiling 😞 Other than putting tape over the LED is there a function that turns off this annoying search beacon at night? Also another flaw of design is the red record LED on our previous PVR was a nice feature to know when a show was being recorded without having to turn on the TV and go to the menu and view the PVR status? What are the the colour variations of the VIP7802 LED and what do they mean? Any detailed user technical information would be appreciated, I recommend that this should be included in the equipment product pamphlet. Thank you.

Nah there aren’t. You can simply turn on the box on only when you need to watch certain parts of shows via Restart. It’s a cloud box, so no need to plug it prior to a recording mission. For those channels without Restart on the dvr, it might be available for them on other tv apps. If not you can simply use mobile devices to tune in the channels.

We are new to bell Fibe tv. Our set box 7802 is always flashing red. I know it should be green. The tv works fine but it faces us in the bedroom and it is annoying seeing the red flashing light when we sleep. I also do not want to find out that our recordings are not saving in the cloud properly since I know the box should be green.

The LED light should always stay green. a Yellow or Red light could indicate a potential Wi-Fi issue or a weak signal. This usually can be rectified by moving the pvr slightly in one direction or the other or adjusting the location of the VAP3400. (Do not enclose either of these units. If you do, it could impede the Wi-Fi signal.)
The slow blinking blue light indicates standby mode.

Is it normal for the light to keep fading in and out on our tv receivers? We have the newer tiny receivers Arris VP7802

The slow blinking blue light indicates standby mode. The VAP3400 also has power lights for on / off / standby . There are also Wi-Fi signal lights & WPS pairing lights.
