"A problem was encountered when opening the files for this PVR event. Error code 04”

An hour long show recorded for the entire time but when I go to watch screen says “a problem was encountered when opening the files for this pvr event. Error code 04”.  When I click on “start” it switches to “done”. Unfortunately this show is not available on any streaming platforms

  1. Which TV service do you subscribe to? Fibe TV Fibe TV App, or Satellite TV.
  2. What is the model number of the receiver that you are encountering this problem on?
  3. Is this a onetime occurrence or does occur on all recorded shows?
  4. Have you rebooted your receiver by unplugging it from the power source?
  5. Have you checked for any lose cables or connectors?
  6. Depending on the model of PVR that you are using, you could be experiencing a hard disk failure.
  7. Have you tried to do any troubleshooting? Please select the corresponding tab for your TV service in the link below.
