My mother-in-law's VIP2502 has a few times now become unresponsive, all lights flashing, requires disconnect from power outlet to reboot, starts working again. Is it dying? (I cannot post image / video here.

Good Day.
Did you run the Virtual repair tool as I suggested previously? If not, then you should try doing so.
If the problem persists after following my earlier suggestions, your mother-in-law will need to contact Bell Fibe TV tech support for further assistance. Please call: 1 866 797-8686
It is more than likely a hardware issue. The online technician will confirm this & make arrangements to ship a replacement VIP2502 receiver.
Take care.

Good Day.
You mentioned that you have unplugged the VIP2502 a number of times to reset the receiver.
How is the signal strength on the front of your receiver? Is there anything obstructing the signal from the modem to the VIP2502 receiver?
Have you tried to do any other troubleshooting? E.g. Virtual repair tool, etc.
Are there any error messages on your Bell modem? Have you rebooted your modem?

She has two TVs, one with a VIP2502, the other with a VIP2262. Both have full bars of signal, no obstructions. The 2262 has no issues. The 2502, again, yesterday went from working normally to all lights on, unresponsive, TV off. Rebooting Home Hub / modem makes no difference. No error messages on hub / modem. Phone & Internet working fine.
