How to split my one bill

My wife and I both have our cell-phones through Bell. I can expense my phone from my work but not my wifes so I need to submit a receipt showing my phone bill but not grouped with my wife's. Is there a way I can split my onebill so it can just show my cell-phone bill?

Unfortunately there is no method to split your One billl.

One bill is broken down in to each specific service with the specific monthly charges related to each service then summarized to a sub-total  & tax is then added for a final total.

If you wish to have separate bills, then you would need to set up separate accounts for each service which defeats the purpose of One bill for all service billing.

In essence you would need to create two separate MyBell One bill accounts to receive separate online bills.

Hi @chgrbt
Yes, that would be how it works.

Onebill is having all your services bundled onto the same bill with each other so there is one account number and one payment. Mobile and home services can be separated into their own billing. MyBell will allow you to add both billing accounts to your profile, which will result in 2 different payments needing to be required (one for each bill). Generally this can take 1-2 billing cycles, but depending on your account and billing date, it may only take a day or so.

If you do require assistance with obtaining both of the account numbers to add them to your MyBell profile, please send me a private message and I'd be more than happy to assist in locating and providing them to you.

Okay, so i promised to share update. With help from @BellNick, found the new billing number for my home services that were split out of my previous Bell OneBill 2 days ago and was able to add it to my MyBell account. Now i see 2 bills, the existing one that has my mobility services, and the new one that now has my home services. I will be able to specify pre-authourized payment methods for each which is what i wanted.

Thank you Bell.

Realize this is an old thread, but I thought to add my experience in case it helps others. I had mobility (2 cell numbers) and home services (internet and TV) all on a single bill, called One Bill. You can set up pre-authorized payments from either a bank account or a credit card, in my case i had set up credit card in order to accumulate the card loyalty points.

Bell launched their autopay incentive, $10/month credit on mobility if you set up pre-authorized from a bank account. I have 2 mobility numbers so this would work out to $20/month credit. However, since all my services were on One Bill, in order to take advantage of the autopay incentive, I had to change to pre-authorized payment for the whole One Bill which included my home services.

I called Bell to see if they would offer an incentive for my home services to be paid through autopay, but unfortunately there isn't such a thing yet. If I pay for my home services through credit card, at least I get the card loyalty points.

The solution was to request the home services be moved to a different bill from my mobility services, which Bell agreed to do. I'm waiting for this change to take effect, and once it does, I can leave the mobility bill set up with autopay and get the $10/mo/number incentive, and put the home services bill set up with pre-authorized credit card payment and get the card loyalty points. I expect to be able to manage both bills through my Bell.ca account. Fingers crossed that the above is implemented over the next couple of billing cycles as Bell said it would. 👍

Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you for your input & in taking the time to share this with the community.

There I is no method to split your MyBell One billl account into separate methods of payment.

As I mentioned in an earlier reply, if you wish to have two separate methods of payment, then you would need to set up separate MyBell accounts for each service which defeats the purpose of One bill for all service billing.

In essence you would need to create two separate MyBell accounts in order to receive separate online bills.

Take care.

Agreed, there is no current way to have separate methods of payment for a One Bill.

My expectation based on the discussion with Bell is that once implemented, I will in effect have 2 bills, one for mobility and one for home services. Each bill can have it's own method of pre-authorized payment. I also expect based on what I see in MyBell the ability to add the second bill to my MyBell billing profile.

Hopefully I don't have incorrect expectations...but in MyBell based on what I see I should be able to add the new home services bill and then manage 2 bills, one for mobility and one for home services, each with their own pre-authorized payment method. That was my understanding when speaking with Bell yesterday.

It's been one day since I placed this request with Bell and I already see in MyBell that my previous bill only has my mobility services, so I expect to be notified of a new bill for home services. Then I'll try to add it to my MyBell login account and I'll report back. Again, I hope my expectations are not incorrect.
