Set up Ident-A-Call number more than 20 years ago, wanting to make change to have ability to forward calls when using star 72
When I use star 72 and enter number to forward to it works for the MAIN number, but not the nIdent-A-Call number that rings differently.
I am Deaf and want to transfer both the main number and the Ident-A-Call number transcription service.

Upon looking into this, Call Forwarding is not available for an Ident-a-call number as the Ident-a-call number is not it's own line. Only your primary number can have Call Forwarding enabled.

Thank you for your question. Do you have copper service or fibre service from Bell? My own experience with fibre is that the Ident-a-Call number is not forwarded. This is a technology issue related to the back end of fibre technology. Copper would forward the Ident-a-Call.

Line here is copper, only main forwarding - maybe there is a part between house and central office that is fibre.

You can have identical numbers, call forward and piggyback on your main number when it is called forward if you look at your bill or at least your services under each of your phone numbers, you’ll see an entry one line entry called ringing code one possibly ringing code 3 – not call forwarded This is what you need to change and your best not to talk to Frontline Cell staff because they’re likely not able to understand what you’re referring to because this coding while on your bill is from the Old and not very well known system of Beatrice. You’re better to just asked to speak to a level two agent or you can actually contact tech-support under Bell repair and they will be able to better assist you because they know the system is better than Frontline Agents.

Good Day.
Call Forwarding is not available for an Ident-a-call number. The Ident-a-call number is not the primary number & as such, must have its own line in order to enable call forwarding. Only the primary number can have Call Forwarding enabled.
