Hi,
Someone help please. I have a bell house phone. I want to receive collect call from Bordeaux jail Montreal. The call isn't a long distance. But he says that the call doesn't go through. I've called bell support twice. Both agents did tests and it works. The jail phone works for the other inmates. Why is this happening to me?

My husband is there now. Half the time the calls don’t go through. Or it hangs up and says a three way call is being detected. Best thing to do is put money in his canteen and buy a calling card. It avoids the need for collect calls.

Hello there @Julez,
Welcome to the Bell Community, and thank you for reaching out.
Can you please share the message that they hear when trying to call you?
Have they had the same issue when making a collect call to any other phone number?

Morning, my partner currently is at millheaven institution in Ontario, typically his calls go through. 6/10 times however we hit patches where the calls don’t, but others on range have access and can use the phone. And their calls go through. I call customer support and they say everything’s fine, they trouble shoot it and it changes nothing they offer to send techs out but at my cost. I’ve been explained in the past the landlines are wired from older lines like the satellite. How can we try fixing or having this matter resolved. As it’s not common I’m sure and not anything fixable it’s a game of chance. It’s really disappointing when this is the only provider that supports landline collect calls.
