How do I stop unwanted calls from fax machines? Very annoying especially in the middle of the night!!! Since it's a fax machine, I don't know the party's name to notify them and Bell refuses to notify them as they would know which company/person the fax machine number is registered to. I've had at least 3 different fax machines continually calling me.

Thank you for your question. You can block unwanted calls by using the Call Privacy feature on Bell Home Phone. You can block up to 12 numbers. You can find more about this feature here. https://support.bell.ca/home_phone/calling_features/how_to_use_call_privacy_on_my_bell_home_phone

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
This can be very exasperating & extremely frustrating for them.
Bell does have a calling feature, Call Screen which is a Call Privacy feature that allows you to block up to 12 phone numbers. These callers will receive a voicemail saying that you aren't taking calls at this time. Your home phone will not ring and the screened caller is unable to leave a message on your voicemail. You can block up to 12 numbers.
Please check out this web link. This feature can be added to their Bell Home phone service.

Thank you for your reply. I have used this feature but it does not block all calls. Recently got 2 fax machine calls and have been unable to block the numbers. I know there is an exclusion for certain numbers but this is unacceptable.

You might consider turning your fax ringer off during non-business hours. Or disconnecting the fax machine during non- business hours.

I don't have a fax machine. These are fax machines trying to send faxes to my home phone. Not all unwanted call numbers can be blocked with Call Privacy...very annoying. If Bell knows the company/person to whom the fax number is registered to, they should notify them or provide me with the company and I will call them. If the company fax number is not with Bell, there must be a way to identify the company.

Thank you for your question, Unfortunately, Bell can not share customer information. They are also not responsible for stopping legitimate uses of phone lines such as sending faxes.

Hi, this week I started receiving phone calls on my Bell Home Phone at 11PM from a fax machine. I would answer and say hello and I hear an incoming fax sound. I hang up. Then I get another call 30 minutes later with incoming fax sound, I say hello and hang up. It repeats itself 5 times every 30 minutes. I do not have call display or any optional phone features and the only reason I keep a landline is for emergencies and in case my elderly mom needs to reach me in an emergency. It's not an obscene call so I don't think I can report it to the police or can I? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I've been temporarily unplugging my phone at night otherwise I can't sleep but unplugging the phone defeats the purpose of having the landline (for emergency incoming calls).

Check the number on your caller ID - then do google search and you may find the name of the company calling you.

Hello, my parents been with Bell for a long time and of recent they’ve been getting calls from numbers like it’s from the UK. However, when the calls are answered, they are met with a fax sound. These calls are continuous like 30 calls per day leading to voice mailbox being full and unable to delete.
How can this be rectify
